Hello everyone, and happy Sneak Peek Thursday! Today, I have something a little different to share with you that I hope you'll be excited about. Over the years, I've received a lot of requests for parchment-style maps reflecting the various cities within Barovia. I was excited about the concept but was unsure how I wanted to execute it since I didn't want to create something flat with simple icons like I did for the Barovia map (This works on a broader scale like an entire region, but I didn't like the idea for a city).
I wanted this parchment map to be a visual aid and even something you can share with your players as a background between scenes while they are within the village, so I went with a more hand-drawn approach as if a cartographer sketched the town from a high elevation.
If you all like this concept, please let me know! I hope to get Krezk and Vallaki done in this same style and maybe even a parchment map of Berez (before the town was destroyed, maybe?), which could help your players navigate the swamp using ruined landmarks.
I'll have the entire post ready by Monday!

2025-04-05 16:51:49 +0000 UTCI adore this - it would be fantastic for players to collect these kinds of maps as they hit each town. Or maybe they find all the town maps in van Richten’s tower - or some other viable landmark location.
