Sneak Peek - Restored Haunted House
Added 2024-12-19 18:00:10 +0000 UTC
Hello everyone and happy Sneak Peek Thursday!
This will be the last release for 2024, but I made it a pretty sizable one. This time, I've taken the Haunted House map from the Saltmarsh series and have fully redone it to be a restored manor. Both the exterior, interior, and even the basement levels have been recreated in such a way that all of the damage, mold, etc, have been removed, and each room has been fully furnished.
Perfect for use for any manor home or even a player bastion!
Additionally, this is the first time I've done this, but I've created a version with empty rooms, so you can now use your own asset packs to create your own player bastions. Please let me know if this is a useful feature, as I'm trying to create maps that can also double as player bastions going forward.
For the fully furnished version, I included most of the level 5 bastion rooms to help flesh out this restored version.
On Monday, I'll have a huge release containing the exterior, 1st floor, 2nd floor, attic, and basement levels both restored and empty!
I'll catch up with you all next week.
Cheers,
DM Andy

Oooh. A mid-sized home might work better for Vasili. Don’t want people asking too many questions.

2024-12-20 06:36:38 +0000 UTCIt will be perfect for that! I included all of the lvl 5 Bastion rooms (and some of the lvl 9 rooms as well).

2024-12-20 00:03:51 +0000 UTCOh for sure! You can just hide the ocean area with your dynamic lighting and it would blend in pretty nicely. Additionally, I plan to create three Gothic style Bastions for players in campaigns like CoS. I want to create a small, humble house, a mid sized home, and a manor both with fully furnished and empty versions.

2024-12-20 00:03:01 +0000 UTCI may use it for Vasili von Holtz’s house. Can’t wait to see it.

2024-12-19 21:21:21 +0000 UTCThis will be perfect timing for when my Saltmarsh party turns level 5 and wants to build a bastion there. Thanks!

2024-12-19 21:04:37 +0000 UTCOh that's so awesome to hear!! Thank you so much for your feedback and I'm really excited to hear how this will work out. With the empty room option, you could even cut out the restored rooms and just add them in as your players build the various rooms. I tried to cover most of the lvl 5 Bastion rooms and even some of the lvl 9 rooms as well so I hope this will be a good start. My goal is to have all sorts of Bastions eventually so this will be my first of many :) I'm excited to continue working on the town of Saltmarsh (I'm halfway there!) Next month I hope to tackle the Fishmonger Plant and then Primewater Mansion in the following month (That'll be a huge project, as well as the Oweland House and the Solmor Grounds Manor). Very glad you're enjoying the Saltmarsh series!

2024-12-19 19:10:55 +0000 UTCCurrently running the early stages of a Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign on Roll20, and had been mildly agonising recently over how I'd handle bastion maps... ...trust DM Andy to come to the rescue! The party is currently exploring the house proper as part of Sinister Secret, so I can't wait for them to see this glow-up in a few levels time. Thanks a million, and (needless to say) keep up the fantastic map-making. I've used several of your town maps already over the last few sessions and they've gone down an absolute treat! Cannot wait to see your future takes on Saltmarsh and its environs.
