Champion Tier - Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh: Basement & Parchment Levels

Hey everyone and happy New Release Monday! I am finishing the Sinister Secrets of Saltmarsh project today by releasing the lower level basement/cavern section. Additionally I created a parchment style map containing the three levels of the house so that they are all on the same page. This provides added flexibility when using this on VTT as you have each level on the same page.

Before we get into the map details I wanted to share some awesome news on the Patreon front. They have increased the size of the files that I can attach and finally I can attach simple a single .zip file which contains everything you need instead of having to hunt for the specific folder you want. In this post I split up the parchment map and basement levels, but all of the folders are in each .zip (4k, 8k, Webp, sizing guide, etc). Hopefully, this will make downloading my maps a little easier for each post.

For the basement level I wanted it to be a mix of areas that are abandoned (such as the wine cellar and the old alchemy lab) but also lived in by the smugglers below. Further in the cavern, I added some signs of smugglers in the southern cave area as it made sense for me for them to hang out and play cards / gamble while they wait for orders. You'll find the storage section of casks of brandy and fine fabrics both in the east and south of the map, and finally, it leads out to the small ship that's used to transport smuggled goods from the ship "The Sea Ghost" back to the cave (I'll do The Sea Ghost in a later release).

For the parchment map, I wanted to create a page that contains all three levels of the house itself as I know some DMs prefer to have these interior locations all on the same page for each of token movement on your preferred VTT. I created the house in all six color moods to match your preferred choice as well!

We've had a great month of spookiness with Old Bonegrinder & the Haunted House from Saltmarsh. To close out the month, I'll be working on a unique Halloween map based on one of my fav ride attractions since I was a kid! I hope it'll be a fun little map you can add to any of your spooky encounters as a fun little map puzzle you can throw at your players. This map will include custom-commissioned art portraits from "Caleb is Drawing," which I'm so excited to showcase!

As I move into Nov, I'll continue my re-works of CoS maps (next up is the Bluto Encounter on Lake Zarovich), Winter's Grasp, and Saltmarsh. Additionally, I've been chatting with DragnaCarta, the creator of Curse of Strahd: Reloaded, who has asked me to go through his changes and make maps to support the new encounters he's added to CoS! I'll be starting with the siege of Barovia East Barricades map, and each month, I'll be working on a new release to support Reloaded as well as my other projects. I'm very excited about this collaboration!
