Champion Tier - Burgomaster's Manor V2.0 - Exterior | 40x30

Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I am releasing part 1 of 2 of my newest Burgomaster's Manor V2.0 map, which features the exterior building and grounds. As manor maps are quite large projects, I'll have the full interior versions done next week so you can feature this dilapidated, once-great manor in your games.

I created this map with enough of the manor grounds to host combat encounters should you wish to siege the manor by the forces of the undead (or any other beasties you have planned). I created gaps in the surrounding rusted iron fence so your critters could leap over the low stone wall and besiege the manor. From the looming gargoyles at the front entrance, amidst the tall swaying weeds overgrown in the yard, to the reaching pines surrounding this once grand manor, I hoped to have achieved a look and feel that is befitting the corruption of both the land, people, and even buildings of the mist covered valley. Each window has been boarded up, broken from the undead's continued attacks of the undead and if you look closely, you can even spot claw marks scratched against the wooden walls.

This map is based on a 40x30 grid and features multiple color moods, versions with and without lights, and various weather effects. When I do the interior version, I will also include a version with and without the deceased former Burgomaster in his coffin in the drawing room, so you'll have lots of options for this house's use.

For my Champion Tier patrons, you will get the following with this release:

As these manor maps are often huge projects, next up will be the interior, in which I plan on doing a 1st & 2nd floor and an attic level, which should provide many options for combat and social encounters for this map. Later this month, I'll convert some of my Village of Barovia maps to Winter's Grasp maps, including Bildrath's and Mad Mary's, and if I have time, I'll try to include the Blood on the Vine Tavern with this batch as well. And lastly, on the Saltmarsh front, I'll be working on some generic docks that are handy in almost any game that features a large waterfront!

I hope you enjoy this manor map! I channeled my best haunted mansion vibes into this to make it as creepy and spooky as possible, befitting the dour folk that live in these dark lands.

As always, thank you for your continued support of my craft. I'm excited to share more of my work with you soon!

Cheers,

DM Andy

Oh that's awesome! I was excited to use the Van Richten's Cache map last weekend. It was excellent, and a great surprise to see in the lineup. Looking forward to whatever comes of this.

I've actually recently been in touch with Dragna! I'm going to start working through his list of encounters, including the fortified VoB and other locations and get maps that he can use in his guide. I'm excited to work with him on that project as I've used Dragna's material for years now in my own games.

Thank you SO much! Really makes me happy you have enjoyed it so much and I'll have the interior all done and ready by Monday. It'll be 2 floors plus an attic level and I added a ton of little details inside along with some new assets I had commissioned to help bring it more to life :)

That's incredibly kind of you! I doubt it'll be so hilariously narrow a window again any time soon, but that's incredibly good to know. It went just fine as a TotM scene. Your maps are just so pretty and immersive that I love using them for RP scenes as well. Their journey from there to Tser Pool had 3 different maps of yours, though. Your work has really turned up the quality of this campaign for my players, and I'm so grateful. I don't know how commonly used DragnaCarta's rework is, but there's a siege scene in it that involves the party defending a hastily-made barricade on the eastern entrance of Barovia village from a zombie attack. I ended up making my own map for it a week ago (which is now my very first reddit map post-wish me luck) but if your list of map ideas ever shortens (hah!) it might be worth doing an iteration of the Gothic Village map that has a defensible barricade and maybe extends out into the surrounding field. Even with my comparatively janky map, it was such an evocative and fun scene to run.

This is a gorgeous map. I am chuffed to be able to use it with campaign. And since my current campaign is running late in getting to the finish, there’s a good chance the mansion will be completed by the time it kicks off. Lovely work, Andy.

Oh no! Missed it by 1 day! Maybe you can get them back to VoB for some reason so they can explore the house once I release the interior :) Also, if you're ever just one day away from a release for your session DM me and let me know! I might have enough ready where I can send you the files you need for your game. I'd hate for you to miss out on a map by just one day. I can't promise it'll be fully ready because sometimes I'm working up to the last min on Sun to finish it for Monday, but I'll do my best so you don't miss out.

I've been running my Strahd game on sundays, and we just wrapped up the Barovia Village arc (from strahd reloaded) last night. I was joking with them in the scenes in the manor that they had to pretend it was monday and they were looking at a really pretty map instead of just a theatre of the mind scene. XD
