Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! After the sneak peek trailer, I posted last week, I'm excited to release the full version of the map for you all! There are many iconic locations within CoS, but this one is the first place that really kickstarts the adventure for many DM's and adventuring parties alike!
The Tarokka reading is one of my favorite events in the module, and my players have loved it every time. They have spent many hours here getting to know the Vistani, enjoying the few good meals and drinks around Barovia, dancing, and enjoying the warm fire. I wanted this map to feel lively, even amongst the dreary dark skies and gnarled, twisting pines of the Svalich Woods.

This map features the Vistani camp, located at the Tser Pool off of Old Svalich Road. To the south, a small path grows more overgrown and narrow as it winds up the cliffs toward the Tser Falls Bridge.
The camp itself contains four wagons (Vardo's) positioned in a circle around a roaring campfire. I placed many luxuries around the camp and felt this needed to resemble the vibrant culture and life the Vistani bring to Barovia. Wines, exotic fruits, and other foods not local to the region can be found here, as well as rare fabrics, spices, and instruments. I wanted the fact that the Vistani can travel beyond the mists reflected in the items around their camp.
Of course, each wagon is uniquely painted to represent the families that call them home while I used the color green on the flag pendants to represent unity of the Tasque (clan) they are in.
Each Yurt-style tent is made of brightly colored fabrics and houses various practicalities that help with camp life, such as cooking, horse-shoeing, keeping firewood warm, woodworking, and basic tailoring. Each Yurt also features an interior version as well.
And, of course, this iconic location would not be complete without Madam Eva's tent. I wanted this tent to be the largest and full of charms, trinkets, and other mystical items to create a sense of wonder as your players approach this tent.
In addition to the six color moods, each map contains the following variants:
No Trees
No Lights
Interior of the tents
For my Champion Tier patrons, you'll get the following with this release:
4k & 8k Image Resolution
Six Color Moods: Dark Fairytale, Ghostly, Gloom, Night, Sunny Day, & Warm
Interior & Exterior of the Tents
With & Without Trees
With & Without Lights
Various Weather Effects such as Fog, Rain, and Sun Rays
Grid & NoGrid
Jpg & Webp
VTT Sizing Guide

I feel this map is a great start to August! Even though it's one of the hottest months where I live, it'll be getting cold in the next release with a new set of Winter's Graps maps! I will be working on the Village of Barovia locations and hoping to get the full village and maybe one of the other locations (depending on how long it'll take me to re-work the village map as that one is quite large!).
On the Saltmarsh front, I'll be working on the Weekly Market by the docks, which, like many of the Saltmarsh locations, I hope will be a versatile map regardless of the campaign you're playing.
Lastly, I'm working on commissioning some more custom art to create swaths of thorny, twisting brambles, which I want to use to show the hag corruption of the land. I also want to start creating some more hilly road maps covered in brambles to be used for travel encounters near the Old Mill and other hilly places within Barovia (or any campaign world!).
As you can see, I'll have a full plate this month but excited about the future! The custom assets I've been commissioning are helping to further my vision I've always had for each of these locations and I'm excited to bring more depth and mood to my new maps.
As always, THANK YOU for your continued support of my dream of making battlemaps!! I hope they continue to bring new life into your games.
Cheers,
DM Andy
