Hey everyone, and happy New Release Monday! I'm very excited to finish this map I've been working very hard on and, to date, has been one of the most detailed manor maps I've done! I'm very proud to present to you the Dwarven Mining Company HQ 2nd Floor, Roof, and Vault! Make sure you pick up part 1 here.
Inspired by the entry in the Saltmarsh module, it was a great challenge to create a mansion that acts as a Dwarven Mining Company HQ, especially since you don't see a lot of above-ground Dwarven buildings. I wanted this to feel like the Dwarves purchased this mansion and made it their own while operating the administrative functions of their mining operations through here.
Additionally, I was very excited to build my first vault-style map, and I think this location has so much potential for a heist mission (or siding with the Dwarves to prevent a heist!).
I jammed each room with so little detail that I wanted to take some time and write up a brief statement on what you can find in each room and how best to use it in the room guide within the .zip files. This system-agnostic guide should help provide you with a jumping-off point to utilize each room as you see fit.

Because of the sheer amount of detail (and work) that goes into these larger building maps, I had to split this project into two parts. You can find 1st-floor maps over on this post.
The maps included here are as follows:
There are a total of 7 different color moods to help you cultivate the perfect atmosphere for your setting, from bright and sunny to gloomy and dark.
Additionally, some of the color moods have weather variants for rain and fog, and I created each core map with a version without lights so you can use your own VTT-provided lights instead.
For my Champion Tier patrons, you will get the following with this release:

I am slowly chunking away at the town of Saltmarsh and am excited to have completed the 5th location in great detail. The next on my Saltmarsh list will be Keledek's Tower, which will be a three-story tall wizard's tower map.
On the spooky front, I have two dark fantasy maps scheduled for this month I'll be working on. Up next will be a graveyard map that will be heavily inspired by the beautiful decorations of Dia de Muertos, a cultural holiday that is observed in my own household and something I've not seen fully represented on maps before. My goal is to create two variants of this map, one with the festival decorations (creating a festive, vibrant atmosphere of light and color, focusing on candles, sugar skull decorations, and brightly colored marigolds around each grave) and the other without the decorations so you can use it for general use. I can't recommend The Fiend of Hollow Mine from the WotC book Journey Through the Radiant Citadel enough for a fun, spooky-themed October one-shot. I ran it last year, and my players loved it and adored meeting Rufina the Olvidado!
After this, I'll be closing out the month by re-creating my original Village of Barovia outskirts map as I start working my way toward the VoB re-works I have planned! This map will feature the Old Svalich Road and a few sparse farmhouses (some will be abandoned), and some fallow fields to create a creepy introduction to the town and create potential for many intro encounters to the plight of the Barovian villager.
As always, THANK YOU from my wife and me for your continued support of my work, and I am very much looking forward to bringing you the next series of battlemaps this month.
Cheers,
DM Andy
