Champion Tier - The Hunger - Town of Dawnvale Interior & Spider Tunnels [60x40]

Hey everyone, and Happy Release Monday! Continuing down the spider-infested path of the town of Dawnvale, I bring you the complete Interior (1st and 2nd floor) and the basement level/spider tunnels!

This map coincides with the exterior version, which you can find here

While I created this map for the Lunch Break Heroes adventure, The Hunger, it is versatile enough for you to use in any campaign. Along with the various color moods, it's my hope I have created enough variants for you to slate in, no matter the theme of your world.

First off, I'm very sorry for all the .zip files! Patreon has a 200 MB limit per file, and I have a ton of map files in this release!

Let's start off by talking about the interior locations featured on this map.

The Blighted Tavern Inn: This two-story inn provides plenty of beds and tables for your party to meet NPCs and unwind. While not the most upscale place, it does a great job of acting as the social hub of Dawnvale.

Krolvan's General Goods: Prices in remote villagers are often high, but at least your party can re-supply at this general goods store. Rumor has it the owner is having some issues with spiders and might be offering a discount for any help.

Abandoned House: This small house sits beside the General Goods store, boarded up and empty. If you listen close enough, you might hear the sounds of skittering creatures lurking within. This house used to be owned by Sorian Bleakwater, who now drinks his time away at The Blighted Tavern.

Hope's Fire Apothecary: This small stone building is covered with overgrown plants and various flora used in alchemic potions. It is run by three Tieflings who can sell valuable potions to players. They like to keep their religious views to themselves and have hidden their shrine to Odur behind a false bookshelf in their room.

Bandaal's Smithy & Fletchers: This three-in-one store provides Dawnvale with smithing, tailoring, and fletching supplies. Often sharpening and repairing pix axes for the minors; however, your party might be able to procure some valuable weapons and armor from the three Dwarven owners.

The Dawnvale Butchery: Unbeknownst to the town, this butchery is run by a pack of werewolves who always seem to find a source of meat to sell. While Vila Whiesbane might not be the friendliest of shop owners, your party might be able to procure some rations for the long road ahead. This building has two floors, with the three pack members living above the shop and a small basement below. Players who snoop around might find themselves a false wall in the basement leading to the main source of the butchery's meat supply.

Guard Barracks: Run by Captain Ransley, this two-story guard barracks act as a fortification, jail, and living quarters for the guards within. Having to protect the town and the mine, the guards of Dawnsvale are always busy. Just don't find yourself on the wrong side of the law, as Captain Ransley will not hesitate to confiscate your player's gear and toss them in jail!

Spider Tunnels: Skittering beneath the town are seemingly endless tunnels burrowed by horrible flesh-eating spider swarms. Players who enter Sorian's home and descent to the basement will see the results of his attempt at expanding the walls and mistakenly burrowing into a massive spider-infested tunnel.

As you can see, a lot of work went into detailing each location which I hope will provide your players with an immersive experience.

For my Champion Tier patrons, you will receive the following variants with this release:

I know I've been teasing you with The Hunger maps for the past few weeks, and I'll finish the last map next; The lair of the colossal spider Arak! I'll also provide a copy of the Adventure PDF created by Lunch Break Hereos: The Hunger

My focus in March will be to re-work my Amber Temple map and (Hopefully) create my First Ghosts of Saltmarsh map! Additionally, Pyram King and I are collaborating on a three-part multi-dungeon built within the pillar stone of Ravenloft, and LBH is already hard at work on their next adventure. (it makes me wish there were more days in the month).

The gears are certainly churning here in the DM Andy workshop! Thanks as always for your support, and I'll catch up with you Thursday for my next Sneak Peek.

Cheers,

DM Andy

Thank you! I'm very excited to tackle it again. I'll be doing it in two parts, the first being the 2nd floor as the "lived-in" version. Then I'll be starting from scratch to rebuilt a new one per the module. Should be awesome!

I'm super excited for the refreshed Amber Temple. The quality difference between the original and the one in the ITOS are night and day.

Awesome, congrats Andy!
