All "Interactive Tome" maps are inspired by the well-written work of The Aciduous Adventurer, and the original adventure can be found on the DMs Guild here.

Hello everyone and happy Release Monday! Today I have the next release for the amazing Interactive Tome of Strahd supplement written by the talented Aciduous Adventurer! If you have not yet heard of this amazing third party supplement, you can find the PDF over on the DMs Guild here. It gives life to the Tome of Strahd magic item and makes it a fun, interactive tool the players can use to learn all about Strahd's past life, his rise to vampirism and his pursuit of his lost love. It allows your players to interact with people from Strahd's history and view the world through his (red) eyes!
Chapter 10 has your party working with Strahd in order to hunt down the traitor Leo Dilisnya who has sought refuge in the sanctuary of an elusive order of monks who live on the cliffs of Mount Baratok.

I wanted to give this map a cold and rocky vibe and try to build the houses as close to the cliff as possible without covering them up completely. I thought about how the monks would transport materials up the mountain pass and how "pieced together" their walkways and houses would be. I can't imagine supply runs easily to them so they have to repair and make do with the resources they have. I created the path up the hill for players to feel as though they are ascending through the monk village in their pursuit. The lights I've added on the interior maps help break up the monotony of the white and snow and create a slice of warmth amidst the cold.
Additionally, for these maps I've been working on my Photoshop skills more and more these days and I've done some color enhancement to really make the snow and lights pop. I hope you like it!
For this map release, my Champion Tier members can enjoy the following variants:

I've been chunking away at my planning for the Spires of Ravenloft so I can get the stacking done correctly for each level. I plan on creating a version which sits on top of the roof level of Ravenloft so I can add the blur effect and really show the height. Then I want to create another version where all of the floors are on map so you have two styles of layouts available.
Additionally, I've been working on the next adventure for Lunch Break Heroes which will feature a large wheat farm and a house owned by a wizard who's experiments have gone...out of control. This map will be great for adding additional (non-dead) farms to your adventures!
As the Holidays rapidly approach (they are coming way too fast!) I might work on some more generic encounter maps to help pad locations with more map options while I continue to wrap up my on-going projects of the Interactive Tome of Strahd and Castle Ravenloft.
I wish those community members a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this week (for those who celebrate) and to all I wish you a peaceful and calm week. I hope you all get a chance to break from your work so you can enjoy some more tabletop time with your friends!
Cheers,
DM Andy
