Champion Tier - Abandoned Farm [40x40]

Hello everyone and happy Release Monday! For today's map, I have worked on another in my generic map series, this time I have: The Abandoned Farm. 

Places like Barovia make mention of a series of abandoned farms where farmers have been driven away by predators and / or lack of sunlight to grow healthy crops. Most have adapted to growing stunted root-vegetables but for those who have not changed with the times, they left their lands to seek better opportunities... or at least survival. Or perhaps they never left and their spirits reside there, waiting to haunt any weary traveler who dares take refuge from the deluge of rain within the old creaking barn. 

I'd like to do a few more farm maps like this including some that are lived in and others that are not so you have some options to showcase in your dark fantasy game. 

Like most of my maps, I gridded this map at 40x40 to give you plenty of room for both exploration and combat. I've added tons of little details such as the rotting pumpkin patch where now rats feast on the remains. A small supply shed, now just reduced to rotting lumber and spoiled grain. A well with a dilapidated roof along with two interior buildings to explore, the small farmhouse and the barn. Along the outer edges are the creeping forests of the land, with outstretched branches that seem to reach for your heroes. And two, small shallow graves dug behind the house. What resides within, is up to you!  

Of course the larger buildings come with interior versions as well as exterior versions! Who knows what might be lurking underneath the floorboards of the old house?

I'll be working on a few projects over the next coming weeks. This includes Chapter 10 of the Interactive Tome of Strahd which is a unique location called The Order of the Guardians Monastery. A series of small buildings built along a mountain switchback road. 

Additionally I'll be working on the Spires of Ravenloft along with the next LBH adventure and putting some finishing touches on another generic map. Stay tuned!
