Sneak Peek - Abandoned Farm

Hey everyone and happy Sneak Peek Thursday! Today I'm showing a snippet of my next map, the Abandoned Farm. This map is part of my Dark Fantasy generic map series and will be gridded for a 40x40 area. There is mention of a lot of Abandoned farmlands in places like Barovia and this map will make a perfect backdrop for a random encounter or something more planned. It will contain farmland, forests, an old barn, and an abandoned farm house. Both the house and barn will have interior and exterior locations as well. And of course I'll plan to make night, rain and clean versions as well.

2022-11-11 15:30:36 +0000 UTCThat's a really good idea! I'll probably handle that as its own map rather than a variant. I want to expand my Dark Fantasy ``Blighted Farms" category and make different types of farmland maps in all sorts of climates. Maybe I'll make a swamp and a snowy one as well to be used in / around Krezk. I want to make a few others since it is said Vallaki has a lot of farmland and even south of the Village of Barovia looks like marshland with the Ivlis river. Maybe when the river swelled, it destroyed a series of farms that were left abandoned. The idea of muddy, soggy ground with unknown creatures lurking below the surface of the muck sounds pretty terrifying :)

2022-11-10 18:37:49 +0000 UTCThis is a great idea for a map. I could make good use of this in either of my campaigns, both of which use your maps prominently. If you planned on doing any variants of it, adding in some swampy vibes so that this would fit into Berez would be absolutely perfect. But it'll get used by me regardless. Keep up the good work!
