Sneak Peek - A Cold Comfort - Lunch Break Hereos Original Adventure

Hello everyone and happy Sneak Peek Thursday!

I want to start off by reminding everyone that there will not be a map release this upcoming Monday, Oct 24th. Since this is a five Monday month and I only release four maps per month, I'll be using that extra week for some much needed catch up.

However, I do have some goodies to sneak peek with you today for the next upcoming original adventure by Lunch Break Heroes; A Cold Comfort.

This snowy adventure is perfect to usher in the winter with your players and pits them against a trecherous mountain climb to reach the summit in order to save the villages below. A devious plot, trechery, some dragons, and maybe even a devil will be sure to prove a challange for your high level characters!

There will be a total of eight maps for this release! Six of them will be mini maps that will be placed on one singular map which will be 60x40 in total. Each map will be divided by a border and will be 20x20 (Similar to how I handled Chapter 1 of the Interactive Tome of Strahd). The sneak peek featured in this post is one full map of the six that you will find and each one will be suitable for the random encounters listed in the adventures as your heroes climb to the summit.

These maps will also be perfect for snowy encounters for adventures such as Ice Wind Dale or even the trek up to Tsolenka Pass. I always try to make these maps as versitile where possible. The other two maps will be a large cavern map and the mountain submit for the final encounter.

After this, I'll be working on the next level of Castle Ravenloft so stay tuned for that!

Cheers,

DM Andy

Perfect for encounters with trolls and a white dragon - all to retrieve a rare artifact that has the ability to alter the weather and bring forth an endless winter

Yes! I think you'll like the final maps once they are posted. It'll be six maps like this all on one single map page. Each one will be a different 20x20 map and will be perfect for random encounters as your players scale the mountains. The Mad Mage encounter needs some serious love and I know Pyram King and I have been discussing something really neat for it which we'll tackle after the caslte is done (hoping your players are not too close to this yet!).

Ohh, I am definitely using this either in Tsolenka, or in the northern Balinoks when the party goes to search for Mordenkainen, their fated ally!
