Champion Tier - Hell Comes Knocking - An Original Lunch Break Heroes Adventure

Update Oct 3rd, 2022: LBH found a few typos in the adventure so reuploading the corrected adventure PDF.

Hey everyone and happy Release Monday! Today, we have another original adventure written by Lunch Break Heroes with maps I created. Your players will face off against a demon who has taken over a local monastery and spreading its disease across the town of Ardynshire. I got to build a total of 5 locations specified in the adventure which you'll find attached. These locations are sectioned off so that you can also repurpose them for your own games as well.

As always, with any of the LBH releases, not only do you get all the Champion Tier benefits listed below, but you'll get the adventure, tokens, and portraits as well!

The village of Ardynshire has seen its share of hard times, but nothing compares to this. A demon has made its home in the local monastery, and has unleashed a deadly plague upon the village. What was once a devout and happy village is now little more than a charnel pit, wreaking of the decay and filth. It’s up to your party to find out what’s going on and bring a light to the darkness. Will they survive the ordeal, or become emissaries of evil?

Find out in “Hell Comes Knocking”.

There are a total of two different maps but five total encounter locations. We start off with a small, simple cottage where your players start their adventure, followed by a bakery that has been attacked and abandoned. The baker is currently being devoured by demon infused dough! Then we move on to a most grisly site, a cabin used for the demons dark rituals. Your players will have to find a place to hide from the animated statues that are terrorizing the town which might lead them to trust those who should not be trusted. The fourth location is a cellar where one of the demons devoted is currently living. After luring your players to his "safe house" he will attempt to convince them into the tunnels which connects up with a small well on the other side.

Finally, the 2nd map takes place in the fifth location; The monastery & chapel. You'll find this desecrated monetary as the source of the towns troubles and your players will have to investigate the various grisly rooms to find clues on how to banish or defeat this demon.

As a Champion Tier member, you get the following with this release:

This week I'll be working on Chapter 9 of the Interactive Tome of Strahd. For this map I'll be combining elements of my Exterior and Main Floor Ravenloft maps and including the drawbridge so you'll have plenty of room for a massive battle here! And of course, I'll be working on the Court of the Count map which is the 2nd floor for Castle Ravenloft! October has started off on a spooky note and I'm excited to bring you more Dark Fantasy maps!

Once again, on behalf of my wife and I, thank you for your amazing support, comments and engagement on my work. I hope I can continue to provide you with high quality battle maps that enhance your games.

Cheers,

DM Andy

From seeing the maps alone I can say the atmosphere will be incredible !

That's always such a hard question to answer :) It depends so much on how long you play and how much your group likes to rp. I would say with moderate rp with an experienced group of players (4-5) you should be able to get through it in an evening (maybe a 5-6 session). So if you run smaller game sessions, I would recommend splitting this up between the town of Ardynshire and the monastery as two separate sessions. It makes for a great Halloween adventure! :)

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed working on these maps :)

this looks pretty cool, is it a one-shot or do you think this would take several sessions?
