Hey everyone and happy New Release Monday! Today I'm very excited to share with you the Main Floor of Castle Ravenloft! I really enjoyed working on this map and adding tons of detail room to room. This map I scaled down from the exterior map so that I can add more detail to this map which I felt it deserved.
Castle Ravenloft is such an iconic location in D&D past and present and I wanted to give this everything I had! Your party will see the beautifully ornate front door while they walk into the foyer with dragon statues staring down at them. I wanted the main stairwell to be iconic and I imagine either Strahd himself or Rahadin coming down the candlelit, crimson stairs with their footsteps echoing through the hall.
You'll noticed I added a slight reflective glow on the suits of armor and along the dirty marble flooring. As your party is invited to dinner, they can dry off from the pouring rain near the roaring fireplace (I know this is not in the module but this room just needs a fireplace!) and listen to Strahd play haunting music that echoes through the halls. As your party explores they will find rubble strewn archer posts, most of the mirrors collected from the castle and web-infested hallways with skittering shadows lurking about.
Finally, the desecrated chapel lies in ruins and the pain in sorrow of this place is seeped into its tall walls and boarded up windows. Beams of faint light shine through cracks in the woods illuminated treasures held within. But as the sound of the front doors slamming shut echo through the castle, will your party be able to escape alive?

As mentioned above, I scaled this map down to 50x40 from the exterior map so that I can add more detail to it. I did include a bit of the exterior in the event your party might be snooping around the outside or they were just delivered by the black carriage.
Additionally, as requested, I made a version with slightly less rubble (removed most of the broken boards, stone, and webbing) along with the standard variants as detailed below.
As always, for my Champion Tier patrons this map is available in the following variants:

I have a lot of projects on the backburner since the move but now that my wife and I are getting settled into our new place, I'll be able to get back on schedule. These are all maps I have in the workshop (in no particular order):
So there you have it! Lots of projects on the docket but I'm looking forward to the next release and of course I'll share with you all on Sneak Peek Thursday!
As always, I appreciate all of your support and engagement and I'm hoping I was able to do Castle Ravenloft the justice it deserves!
Cheers,
DM Andy
