It's finally here! After a good solid 2+ weeks of work, I've finally finished the exterior of the castle. This is one of my biggest maps to date, coming in on a 100x80 grid! This map was both challenging and rewarding and I'm quite happy with how it turned out and I hope you will be too!
Since I included a majority of the drawbridge in my "Road to the Castle Map" I decided to just add the backend to make more room for the castle. It was important for me to show the depth of the overlook and wanted to pad that side of the map with more of a feeling of height, while not going over 100 grids across.
There may be some slight variants with the castle layout since Ravenloft has gone through many iterations over the last few decades and the isometric view from the main module does not show every angle. I did make some assumptions on certain areas but I think all of the main points have been covered.
Lastly, there are some variants I want to include, such as a small Vistani camp to house the Vistani that roam the castle, and other added details by previous sources and third party addons, but I wanted to make sure I had enough time to get the core map done before adding the extra goodies. Once the Ravenloft project is complete, I will go back and create these changes.

As mentioned above, this map comes in at a whopping 100x80 grid to fit it all in! The scale of this map is just incredible and will gives your players tons of areas to explore.
Additionally, when I released my Western Gate map, due to the large size, I heard some feedback from some of the community members that the 4k maps won't work in Foundry because the pixels per square was under the 50 min. So with this map I've added an extra size option and you can now enjoy 6k resolution! This allows you to use a smaller resolution but still hit the Foundry min (The webp 6k file is 62 PPI).
You'll also noticed I created a variant to include the interior locations for the following: The Coach House, The Main Castle Gate Mechanism, the two archer posts on the main keep, and the four out-buildings located on the overlook.
As always, for my patrons you will receive the following variants for this map release:

Full transparency, this week is going to be a crazy week for me! I am moving this upcoming Saturday to Los Angeles so this week will mostly be packing and getting the old / new place ready for the move.
I will say, I have started work already on the 1st floor of Castle Ravenloft and have made good progress. However I don't want to promise it will be ready by next release Monday considering the size and detail of it and with the move.
I was able to put the finishing touches on a few interior locations I created for my City of Marionettes map which include a toy store and a theater (both would be great locations for Vallaki). I have also been working on some other generic map locations, one of which is a murky swamp river with a water-soaked log spanning the gap. I'm working on a version with the log broken as well so you can have a fun little trap encounter for the swamps of Berez.
I do plan on polling the community as well to see what other generic locations are needed around Barovia so you can stay tuned for that!
Lastly, there will be a new Lunch Break Hereos adventure I hope to find some time to work on as well, but just bear with me as I get settled in the new place and create a new office space for me to work in. I'll work on getting Ravenloft 1st floor finished as my top priority!
Hope you enjoy today's long awaited release.
Cheers,
DM Andy
