Original Post: Happy Monday everyone! This week I'm very excited to bring you the Vistani Camp on the outskirts of Vallaki. This map is one of my biggest ones yet as it is a 60x60 grid. The map in the original module is quite large and I personally am not a fan of maps with 10 foot squares as mentioned in the book. I tried my best to keep this to scale as much as possible while being able to fit all of the wagons and Dusk Elf homes and I'm pretty happy with the results.
I also created interiors for both the main Vistani tent and each Dusk Elf home as well (You'll note there are no beds in the elf homes since Elves do not need sleep!). I tried to make each Dusk Elf home a reflection of a stagnant people. A dwindling race whos lives are under the thumb of Strahd while knowing they will eventually become extinct once the last of their Dusk Elf kind has died. They spend their time painting, reading, or playing music but they all feel a great sadness and anger toward their dark overlord.
I also had fun decorating each Vistani wagon to make each one feel like a colorful extension of the family which owns it. Not to mention Luvash's golden hubcaps!
For my patrons, I've created the following variants:
- Grid / Gridless
- Day / Night
- Clean Version (no fog)

2021-09-28 22:41:53 +0000 UTCHey JM, I don't typically put living creatures as static images on the map since most DM's like to use tokens for things like horses. However, if this is something you would like I would be more than happy to create a version with horses on it. Just let me know!

2021-09-27 22:16:52 +0000 UTCExcellent work as always, Andy - for my version of the camp I considered scaling down, but decided to just make separate maps for Kasimir's Hovel and the Camp. Seeing this, I kind of regret that choice. Also, *incredible* work with the vardos! I actually started work on a token for Ezmerelda's wagon recently, and I really regret that I didn't put more effort into the wagons for my Camp or Tser Pools map. Might have to revisit them at some point, but even if I did, I don't think it would compare to what you've done with them here - they're all incredible.
