Sneak Peak - Sanguine Rose

So work on Krezk is coming along nicely and I'm hoping to have that map ready for release by Monday!
With that said, I'm working on a homebrew location within Vallaki I used in my own game called the "Sanguine Rose". This is a super early view of the lounge area where the courtesans will work before making deals with customers to take into the backrooms.
It might take me a bit to release this map as I have some pretty lofty goals for it but to give you an idea of what I have planned:
Sanguine Rose map will include:
- Staircase descending to the lower level from above
- Basement which, at first glance appears to be a normal basement for storage...but hidden in the wall is a secret passage
- Guard screening area and weapon check-in (for the employees safety of course)
- Main Longue
- Bath room
- Six bedrooms
- The office / bedroom of the owner and his own secret room
The upper level will include:
- Alleyways throughout Vallaki buildings (This can be used independently of the Sanguine Rose for any street encounters like dealing with Izek)
- One interior location which will be the "Sanguine Printing Press". This location will include a secret entrance to the downstairs area which connects to the Sanguine Rose.
Additionally, I plan on writing my own short adventure for these locations! I have never (and I stress never) written and published an encounter for D&D so please don't judge me too harshly... This is just a fun homebrew I used in my own personal CoS game that my players loved so thought I would share with the community and my patrons. This was heavily inspired by Littlefinger from Game of Thrones who I thought fit Ernst's personality perfectly. Except with a more... demonic twist >:) There may or may not be (but definitely is) a brother / sister Succubus / Incubus pair and our very own Ernst is secretly a Cambion looking to increase his business ventures throughout Vallaki and beyond. (let's just say in my game, the Blue Water Inn is now called the "Sanguine Inn" and my players hate Ernst for it).

So many fun ideas with a place like this in Vallaki! I mean… when the wine runs dry… what other vices are left?

Perhaps one of the brides of Ravenloft can play havock with the Burgomaster. I think I hear the siren's call, tie me to the mast so I don't run this ship afoul. Looking forward to the nefarious underworld ruled by the resident twisted spy.

Funny enough it ended up being a chain of events in my game that just spiraled like crazy (as these things often do). And now, I think my players hate Ernst more than Strahd himself! Should add some additional depth to his character (as if Vallaki needed any more depth haha)
