Champion Tier (free) - Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft - The House of Lament - Day / Night - Grid / Gridless - 58x34

I just got the new Van Richten's book and when I saw the map for the House of Lament, I just knew I had to re-do it! This looks like such a fun encounter and I'll be replacing Death House from Curse of Strahd for sure if I ever run it again with this new dungeon (Heck, I might just add it to my pre-existing game for fun!)

This map comes in day / night and grid / gridless

All maps can be found in the attached file.

Enjoy!

Oh and if you do start making maps for the rest of the domains of dread I would for sure buy them. Running session zero of a Ravenloft campaign today!!

Absolutely love the map. Looks amazing. The detail is great. One small touch of feedback: It would make my life a lot easier if the doors and windows lined up to the grid where possible. For example on the third floor I had to layer in a bunch of ethereal walls beneath doors to get the desired effect. But overall amazing work. Far better than anyone else ive seen!!!!!

This is one of those maps I'd love to re-work someday. I think with my updated style I can make a really cool haunted house :P I'd also love to start making more maps for the greater Ravenloft lore as well. There is not much detailed info so would be good for a generic line of gothic maps.

So I am going to be running this adventure as a small intermission in my current campaign--I was super stoked to see that you have a map for this too! You never cease to amaze me, Andy. Ravenloft is just so expansive!

That'll be such a fun Halloween game for your group! For printing, I would recommend the 8k gridded files since those are the highest quality. If you're printing at home, I recommend a free online tool called PosteRazor which you can configure to section out the map to print on individual sheets of paper, then you can tape them all together. You'd have to have a decent printer for something like this as it will use up a lot of ink. Of course depending on your budget, I've had other patrons take these files to a print shop and have them print out a poster size version of the map (even with a glossy finish for dry-erase markers) but that can also be a more costly approach. You can find the download link for PosteRazore here: https://posterazor.sourceforge.io/index.php?page=download&lang=english

These maps are great! Thank you so much! I'm planning to host a one shot of the House of Lament for Halloween. How should I go about printing the files you prepared for that?

Cristiana

Thank you so much! I have still yet to run House of Lament but hoping I can run it for Halloween this year :)

Hey thanks so much for your support! So glad you are enjoying my work. Can you expand on your Roll20 question a bit? I personally use Roll20 with all my maps and happy to help any questions you might have. I also posted a guide in the about me section on my page regarding using maps with Roll20. Regarding .zip files, I could start adding .zip in addition to the .rar file so it’s more universal. I personally like .rar as I feel it has better compression for my map files.

These are incredible, theyre what got me to sign up to your patreon! Id recommend trying to add a layout that fits the Roll20 layout for ease of use :) Also, maybe switch over to .zip files since theyre easier to use in general
