Streaming on the Back End
Added 2021-02-25 12:24:04 +0000 UTCGood morning, everyone!
Got another short little tease for you all I cooked up during a slow period at work yesterday. This time its a short tease featuring my pals Kyrm (https://twitter.com/kyrmbat) and (https://twitter.com/lost_in_walmart)
(as a side note if you haven't checked out Kyrm's own stories you absolutely should. If you like my stuff you're gonna like his too.)
Here we have a 2,000 word short story featuring the gaming stream of a bat, ready to show his followers some new game DLC that just came out. But he's got a special guest this session! Though Sprisk might not be as eager to participate as Kyrm is to have him.
Enjoy!

Streaming on the Back End

The words hovered across the screen for all watching the stream. Seconds, then minutes past the scheduled start of the stream passed without change. Then, just as some of the viewers were getting ready to log off and check another stream, the screen abruptly changed. In the place of the generic text screen a face replaced it. The face was that of a bat which had a longer, somewhat narrow muzzle covered in thin brown fur with shaggy pale-blond hair. Circular glasses rested on the bridge of the bat’s muzzle and from the perspective the stream camera was looking at made his eyes look slightly bigger than they normally were thanks to the lens’s magnification.
The screen shook slightly a couple of times as one of the bat’s arms, reaching off-camera, adjusted the device until it was in the position he wanted it. Only when he had it settled did he pull up the rolling office chair behind him and plant himself down into it; giving the stream a playful smile afterwards.
“Good afternoon everyone. I’m Kyrm and welcome back to my special week-long stream event. Make sure to subscribe and follow me on twitter get all the latest updates of my stream schedule and plans.” Kyrm said cheerfully, if just a tiny bit robotically thanks to the obviously well-rehearsed and well-used opening lines.
One of the bat’s arms reached off camera again to grab something only to move back into view a moment later sliding a large wooden jewelry box across the desk into frame with him. The box itself wasn’t anything special; a generic brown wood box roughly the size of a half-loaf of bread with a simple bronzed hook-latch on the side facing the camera. Already the chat was starting to light up with various exclamations of anticipation and excitement at the sight of the box, leaving most of the newer viewers confused as to what exactly the box was. Thankfully they didn’t have to wait long to find out.
“Alright guys. We all know why you’re here. Time to meet our guest star again.” Kyrm said in an amused tone.
Pressing one finger to a corner of the box, Kyrm turned it around on the table so it faced him and away from the camera. A quick flick of his finger pushed the latch open and a second later the box lid raised up; partially obscuring the bottom half of Kyrm’s face from the camera’s view. For those with their volumes turned up high enough they were able to hear some kind of sound coming from the background now; hard to make out squeaks and incoherent noises coming from inside the box. Kyrm was just about to reach his hand into the box when he paused, fingers dangling over the opening. Looking around for a moment he seemed to realize he had forgotten something. A moment later he reached off camera to the opposite side and dragged a small, spherical directional microphone into view and flicked the switch on. The moment he did everyone in the stream was able to hear what that otherwise too-quiet sound had been. Someone was talking!
Or rather, someone was yelling.
“Kyrm so help me god you let me out of this damn box right now and turn me back to normal! This is not cool!” Came the high-pitched voice.
The voice, even with the powerful directional mic, still sounded somewhat quiet and unusually high-pitched; like Kyrm had an active pitch-shifting filter on the sound coming from that microphone. That quickly turned out not to be the case when Kyrm resumed reaching a hand into the box to pull out its contents; making the stream chat explode in various mixtures of surprise, shock, and eager anticipation.
Held there, dangling a few inches above the lid of the box, with two of Kyrm’s fingers pressing around its middle to hold it aloft, was a tiny person with blue skin and thick, fluffy white hair. The guy couldn’t have been more than a few inches tall; not even as big as a Barbie doll. The bat probably could have engulfed the entire little person in his fist if he closed his fingers around them with only their head poking out of the top of Kyrm’s hand. With his prize in hand, Kyrm pushed the box off to the side so he could give the stream a better view of both himself and the little person held in his fingers.
“Say hello to Sprisk, everyone. For those of you new to the stream this is my roommate Sprisk! He’s so graciously offered to assist me with this special event on my stream all week. So I hope you guys are ready for some more fun!” Kyrm explained happily to the camera.
All the while as he spoke Sprisk had continued to release a torrent of yelling that, thanks to the combination of his small stature and Kyrm’s accidental movement of him slightly out of line with the directional mic, was hard to make out over the sound of Kyrm’s much louder voice.
“God damn it I di --- an’t do thi--- ight now or so hel --- te your finger off!”
All the while the stream chat was continuing to pour in comments ranging from shock to amusement, questions about the little hybrid kobold dragon, and even the occasional lurid suggestion of what to do with someone that size. Both the stream, and Sprisk’s protests were ignored for the moment as Kyrm looked off to his side to check something out of the camera’s angle. His free hand reached down to fiddle with something; forcing him to lean to that side in his chair and reflexively lift his other arm to better balance himself. Unfortunately for Sprisk this left him being abruptly lifted and shifted to the side what, to him, must have felt like shooting up two or three floors in an elevator in less than a second. When Kyrm was finally done with whatever he was messing with he raised back up and returned his gaze back to the camera.
“Now for tonight we’re going to be playing Marbel VS. TT Unlimited. The new dlc just dropped and I’m looking forward to trying my hand at the new DLC characters. But if you all don’t mind first…” Kyrm paused to give the camera a knowing grin. “Let me get a bit more comfortable first.”
Reaching his free arm past the camera to press a few buttons on his camera setup a second screen suddenly popped open at the bottom corner of his stream. it was hard to make out with it being so small in the corner but, after a moment of fiddling with a setting, the two screens swapped places with the new one taking up the lion’s share of the stream view. With Kyrm now down in the corner everyone could see the second camera looked to be a side view of Kyrm’s computer chair; most likely propped up on a stool or something so it sat almost perfectly level with the top of the seat cushioning. The chat lit up with comments like “Oh here it comes”, “That poor guy”, And “I wish that were me” as Kyrm lifted himself up out of his chair.
All the while Sprisk had continued his angry shouting and protests; to varying levels of audibility with his constantly shifting location in front of the directional mic. His words suddenly cut off as he was once more abruptly swung around out of the main stream camera’s view. The viewers didn’t have to wait very long to see him again, though, as a split second later the little blue captive popped up in the camera angle being unceremoniously dropped onto the still-warm cushion that Kyrm had been occupying moments before. It seemed to take Sprisk a moment to get his bearings, the sharp movement again jarring to his senses, but when he did he found himself looking up and his eyes going wide. Thankfully to everyone watching the stream, the second camera seemed to also have a directional mic set up to an even higher sensitivity pointing right where Sprisk was so everyone could hear Sprisk’s voice clear as day.
“Oh no Kyrm I swear to god don’t you da-“
His words were cut off mid-word by a sudden shadow spreading across him and, a split second later, simply disappearing beneath a falling mountain of ass. Kyrm’s plump backside plopped down with little care directly onto the seat Sprisk had been standing on; instantly silencing his voice and making the little hybrid vanish from view. Of course, this wasn’t the end of it though as most of the streamers knew. They had seen the little red recording dot that had shown up in the top corner of the stream right before Kyrm had sat down. After a few moments where they could see him fiddling with his keyboard in the smaller screen, the main view of his chair rewound back to the point right when the viewers could see the shadow partially covering the chair and Sprisk.
This time when the scene played, Kyrm had slowed it down to 1/20th its normal speed. While the camera was far from a high-quality slow motion system, the one he used had a fairly decent frame rate for these kinds of things. The viewers got to watch in slow motion as the shadow crept frame by frame across the chair; seeing Sprisk’s mouth opening and closing in his slow-motion protest only to get a perfect view of the little hybrid’s eyes widening and him taking a half step backwards. That was all the distance he was able to make before the bottom curve of Kyrm’s ass, clad in a thin nylon-cotton mesh pajama bottoms, impacted with Sprisk’s head. His head shoved to the side in slow motion as his whole body tipped backwards as if his feet had been pulled out from under him. For a few frames it looked like he fell faster than bat’s backside was descending upon him only to have it catch up a split second later and cover the little guy entirely. With the slow motion the viewers could actually see the slight ripples of flesh that rolled up the side of the bat’s ass; the counter shock of impact rebounding back upwards. You had to have a pretty decent amount of both mass and softness for anything like that to really be visible; which only made the chat go that much crazier as they all started commenting on the sheer plump magnitude of backside that the bat must be packing.
After the replay had ended, Kyrm returned the view to the live feed where the viewers could see him squirming his ass back and forth slightly as if grinding it into the seat cushion to get more comfortable. Those that had their volumes turned up loud enough swore they could actually hear some kind of muffled sound coming from underneath Kyrm thanks to the powerful directional mic. So at least they knew that Sprisk was… well, OK might not be the word, but conscious. A few seconds later the screen’s swapped again, replacing the larger view with that of Kyrm’s face while his ass was relegated to the picture in picture.
“Now that I’m settled” Kyrm said, still grinning at the camera “Let’s get to that game, shall we?”
As he loaded up the game and adjusted his screens again the stream settled down somewhat. But they never quite stopped talking about the ‘special guest’ on Kyrm’s stream tonight. For while Kyrm, like most streamers, had his camera showing his face in the upper right corner as he played the game he also had a second picture-in-picture screen on his stream. Everyone on the stream got to see not just his facial expressions as he occasionally commented on the game and reacted to what was happening, but also the way his body shifted and moved about as he played; grinding that thick, doughy ass of his into the seat cushion and its other occupant.
He was certain he was going to pay for this when Sprisk got back to normal. But for now, Kyrm was happy to bring in the extra views and enjoy himself along the way.
