The New Changing Perspectives!
Added 2021-01-10 18:21:19 +0000 UTCGood afternoon everyone. Sorry for the bit of silence again. As I'm sure you all know the world is losing it's god damn mind and its a daily struggle to keep ourselves together, haha.
BUT
NOT ALL IS BAD
While i am still struggling a lot against writers block in the face of everything going on I have slowly been able to squeeze some things past it in no small part to some motivation to revive what honestly is probably one of my favorite things I've ever helped create. I can't promise how far this is going to go or how expansive its going to be. I don't know if I'm going to make it a main focus, let other people add to it, or make it entirely myself but I at least wanted to let you guys, my supporters, know what I've been trying to work on.
Allow me to introduce the reboot of A Changing Perspective: The New Changing Perspectives.
Right now there's only about ten chapters that are actually complete, but that's still a few thousand words of content that I'm building up. There's also a few chapters that are just placeholders at the moment as i was trying to plan a bit ahead. but one of the Tyler chapters goes on for quite a bit and starts to get into the good stuff.
I hope that one day i can make this as big of a deal as the original was and hope that you all can enjoy it as much as i did being part of the original. I find myself far more attached to the characters that sprang from the original story than i expected to be as i started trying to rewrite them for this project.
I will do my best to keep you all posted on further updates. If things go well and like I want them too i might start releasing numbered, monthly updates to this. I'd love to make this a bigger, long term project but I hesitate to make any promises at this moment. The only thing I can promise is that I'll try.
So without further ado. Feel free to check out the preview I've attached and let me know what you think. Hopefully there will be more to come soon!

Something like that. That file is a file that exists on Patreon's webserver, but when it gets clicked on, the webserver includes a header in the response which tells the browser not to display it in a window but instead start a file download. (Source: I've written code to do this before) For hosting, I'd recommend these guys: https://www.nearlyfreespeech.net/. I've been a customer for over a decade, and they have dirt-cheap hosting. If you set up a webserver, you don't even need a domain name, you just be http://dragonien.nfshost.com/ or similar.

I'll look into trying to find an actual host to put it on in the future to see if I can alleviate this.

On the latest IOS, I am prompted to download it, and then when I go into the files app and open it, I get a message that says "Javascript needs to enabled to play The New Changing Perspectives". That Javascript check probably comes from Twine, and the rest of that is, well, Apple being Apple. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2021-01-10 18:51:10 +0000 UTCOh man, I remember this! Viewing a raw HTML file on iPhones is challenging, so long term you'll want to look into putting it on a webserver somewhere. Hit me up if you want some hosting ideas. :-)
