5th Weekly Summary

Apologies for the delay for this week's summary. For those of you in the discord server, you would know that earlier today (or yesterday depending on your timezone) my RPG Maker crashed in the middle of saves, causing the data files to be corrupted. I managed to salvage a few files, but a majority of my last week's work has to be redone. And that's essentially what I've been doing the entire day (even when I was clocking hours at work).  

I've done what I could, but it would probably take me another full day to finish redoing all the lost progress, but here's what's been done so far:  

Bug fixes and changes:  
My beta-testers came in clutch last week and gave a full list of things that can be tweaked, fixed or changed. There are a whole lot of small stuff so I'll lump them together like this.  
- More collision problems detected and fixed.
- Some grammar fixed.
- Some bugs with Asha's quests and requirements to unlock events fixed.
- Side quests (by Goblin) also addressed and fixed (I think so)  

Additions:  
-Route 4 complete.  
-Underground cavern (accessible through route 4) complete.
-Phobos Town exterior is complete.
-Tsareena variant complete and (almost)fully implemented.
-Hidden jungle pathway complete.   

What's next?  
- All art CGs (6 in total)  
- 3rd Gym leader design
- Story events and other quests
- Phobos town interior
- Sprite art for Tsareena and 3rd Gym Leader.  


However, I also have an IMPORTANT question for all of you guys. Currently, I'm working with a moderator to implement a soft level Cap system to keep the game grounded and to help with balancing issues. On the surface, its a good idea HOWEVER, upon testing, it requires a Clean save in order to implement. Would you guys be open to sacrificing your current save file in order for this system to be put in place, or would you rather I not implement it at all? The choice is yours!

Honestly, I dont mind things as they are now. I've only had one fight give me trouble.

Maybe have it an on/off switch at the start?

I see. The polls are pretty even now and I can see people are really divided on this.

Er no? This is only about the implementation of the Level cap.

As long as the Level Breeders are around and I don't need to grind again I Don't mind.

I'm down for the level cap thing being in the final game, but against implementing it while still in development. It would be a good difficulty modifier lever to pull when the game is done though!

does this mean we can decide if we want to change teserena? I thought there would be only the Ice/plant typ one

As far as getting back to where we are now, the audino breeders and such make it easier, and ita better to enact now than to wait till like the halfway point or further
