Batch mode done! What's coming next will be a big deal…

Batch mode is finally done! You'll now be able to upload multiple pages, clean, translate, and typeset all in one place. There are two buttons that allows to download all edited or cleared pages.

This marks a significant milestone in the development of the app as the current feature set is complete enough to be actually useful in production. It is also important to understand that this app is still a prototype. So the next step in the development process is to validate the concept publicly and eventually bring it to production level quality. This is why the next thing I'm doing is a significant one…

OneTranslate is going to be up for a limited public pre-alpha testing. I've recently acquired a dedicated workstation with hardware powerful enough to run the AI server 24/7. The exact roll out plan will be announced at a later date. But the first phase is to release a subset of the app only for bubble cleaning (no editing or translating features). The goal of the first phase is to learn two things: how the AI server handles the traffic from concurrent users, and how the public responds to such tool. Rest assured that the roll out will be limited to prevent abuse and unwanted exposure. I'm working out the exact details currently but it will likely be something over a weekend to a targeted audience.
