Hypnocon 2018 recap

I attended Hypnocon 2018 in St. Louis Oct 5 - 7.  Much good social time, connecting with friends new and old, a handful of solid / fun trance sessions and an absolutely amazing experience at a cigar lounge.

The event was held at the Parkway hotel in St. Louis with about 25 guys in attendance through the weekend.  We met Friday night at a restaurant for a dinner and some introductions.  After some went to JJ's Clubhouse (Mr. Midwest Leather was happening there) and some (including myself) stayed back at the hotel.  I had 2 great trance sessions, one focused on bondage and one focused on boots.  Both were lots of fun and kept me feeling aroused throughout.  

Saturday morning I dragged my butt out of bed to get some coffee and join the group for an discussion about hypnosis that organically took off on a few tangents.  One of the tangents was distinguishing between hypnotherapy and recreational / erotic hypnosis.   Small groups broke off for lunch and we reconvened for more discussion, a few demos, some breakout discussions and ended with a group NLP exercise.  

I worked with a new (to me) subject on Saturday before dinner and had the pleasure of having his Master observe.  This is the first time I've done a live session with an observer.  This session flowed well and had a few interesting twists.  This subject has been in chastity for over a while .. so you can imagine how fun an "aroused" trigger was for me.

After a light dinner, 5 of us met up at a members only cigar lounge.  I had arranged for a small group of us to attend.  The company, bourbon (Booker's) and cigar (Cohiba Black Gigante) were most excellent.  After 3 hours of pure indulgence, I was ready to fall asleep.

Sunday morning was a business / plenary session where we selected the host city for Hypnocon 2019 (San Francisco) and discussed how the weekend can be even better than it is.   Many good ideas were tossed around, the primary theme being more programmed / planned in advance content like demos, themed discussions, group trance and a consent discussion.

The remainder of Sunday afternoon was free form trance sessions and saying goodbye (at least for me, flying back on Sunday afternoon).

I'll definitely be at Hypnocon 2019 in San Francisco and would encourage anyone who enjoys erotic / recreational hypnosis to do the same.
