Entranced 2018

Just a recap of Entranced, held July 13th - 15th in a northern suburb of Chicago.  Entranced is (was?) a recreational hypnosis convention.

I arrived on Friday and attended the mandatory orientation to learn about the event rules and listen to the organizers talk about consent.  The rules were mostly common sense and the consent expectations all made sense.  

Friday I attended classes titled "Blow Away Your Kinky Inhibitions", "Fucking Hot Negotiations" and "Aural Fixation: Your Hypnotic Voice".  Friday evening I hung out in convention social spaces and sat in the hotel bar with a few  other guys in attendance.

Saturday I attended classes titled "Improv Everything", "Hypnotising the Analytical Mind" and "Hypnotic Head Games".  I also attended a structured mentored trance practice, though most of the advice I got was from the skilled subject I got to practice with and a Community Leader Roundtable.  My attendance at the Community Leader Roundtable was related to the fact that Entranced (or any kind of Midwest hypnosis convention) may not happen next year, and I wanted to listen and contribute to its continuation as I am able.

The "Hypnotising the Analytical Mind" class was excellent and I walked away with pages of notes.  I've encountered many subjects who feel like an analytical mind may be getting in the way of experiencing trance .. I feel like I'm well armed to work with these analytical minds now ;)

Saturday night was more social time, fun trance time and an enjoyable cigar outside the hotel.

Sunday I attended classes titled "What A Shock" (hypnotically suggested electrical play), and "VR and Hypnosis".    Sunday afternoon also included a fine lunch with some guys I've met at previous Entranced cons.

While the weekend was full of great classes, networking and social time, there were some great hypnosis experiences as well:

- A submission post hypnotic suggestion that I was able to use at a couple of points during the weekend with one subject.

- A boot focused trance during mentored trance practice.

- An arousal / teasing / SM trance with a new friend I met this year

- A fun workout trance with a Patreon follower who I got to meet during the weekend.

All the trance experiences were fun and engaging ... with really great subjects.

I'll definitely be at Entranced next year, if it comes to be.  If not, I'll look for an alternate convention to attend (Hypnothoughts in Las Vegas? Mind Quake in SF?).  

Next up is Hypnocon in St. Louis in October.  I'm already looking forward and making plans.  If you'll be there as well, please let me know!
