Yeah - volumes could be and presumably have been written about legal minors in the entertainment industry in general, and the ageism that results therefrom. As a business, all the incentives are to book nothing but 11-year-olds with contracts their guardians don't really understand. And so regulations and government oversight are hugely important. I don't know much about the business in China, but Korea is probably not the worst or, at least, better than Japan in regards to these issues.

2025-04-14 21:03:08 +0000 UTCGlad you got back to this. I really enjoy the Chinese produced survival shows. I feel like they are more uplifting to the trainees compared to the Korean ones, where it's like the show is a blacksmith, beating them into the image of what they want.
