Okay, I was surprised by how much I liked all three girls’ songs. I bought Jisoo’s album after listening to all songs on her YouTube channel. My reason is - I know it will be an unpopular opinion - I really didn’t like Lisa and Jennie’s songs, Rockstar and Mantra. No hate, but the songs just wasn’t for me. I even tried listening to them repeatedly because it sometimes takes me that long for a song to grow but I would find myself fast forward or just stopping the songs altogether. Like with Rose’s Apt, it took me a few times before I started to like the songs altogether and even a lot of Twice’s songs. So, I saw that all three women uploaded new music, I won’t lie, I avoided them because I love their vocals and I don’t think they are horrible or even untalented. The opposite in fact. Rose seemed to be the only one with whose solo songs I actually liked. But, when I listened to Jisoo’s mini album, which off topic surprised me that majority of the songs were in English, and I loved it. I loved both Jennie and Lisa’s new songs. I especially loved how creative they were with their music videos. I have only heard of Doja Cat from Chaeyoung when she mentioned her in an interview on an artist she would love to collaborate with but I never heard of Raye. Amazing vocals on both women. One of my all time favorite songs from Blackpink is Happiest Girl mainly because it - in my opinion - finally showcases each of the girls real vocal talents for the world to appreciate. It was that song that made me wish to hear each of the girls real talents when going solo. These newer songs seemed to do that for me and aside from the catchy tunes, it was what I was hoping for. Anyway, I believe this is long enough of my speech. Hope the move went smoothly or as smoothly as moving can be, and I wish for you a happy and healthy future. Now, I must watch your reactions to Secret of Us episode 6, that you cruelly made me wait a week to watch. lol
