this episode featured one of the funniest tropes to me, which is "it's been so long since someone spoke my language," says person abroad [in a setting where everyone in proximity clearly speaks the language] ...i wonder if it was one of those things where we're supposed to assume everyone in-universe was fluent in english despite them actually being thai, lol

I still can't completely watch episode 1 after seeing it the first time, because of the end of the episode--just got me in the gut pretty hard. I'm having fun watching GLs with you and getting your thoughts. I'm waiting for the next episodes of all the GLs you watch. I want to add that Lada's mom is the worst type of trash human to me, and I have no respect for her at all. Lastly, Lada and Earn were together for four years and broken up for two in the TV series.

She even takes naps on set if there’s a bed. Earn’s mom in the series is Orm’s real-life mom, who’s also an actress. Lingling sings the OST for the series. She’s half Thai and half Chinese (from Hong Kong) and speaks Thai, Cantonese, and Mandarin. In the novel, Earn and Fahlada have an 8-year age gap, which is similar to Lingling and Orm’s 7-year age gap in real life. The director of TSOU, Sarasawadee Wongsompetch, also directed Yes or No (2010), the first mainstream Thai GL movie. Aom and Tina from Yes or No make a cameo in the first episode—that’s why the camera focuses on the couple at the cafe! Earn likely broke up with Fahlada because of her mother’s deception—she was told that Lada had "cheated" or "lied." Although Earn was deeply hurt by this, she didn’t want to destroy Lada’s close bond with her mother by revealing the truth—that her mother was the real reason behind their breakup. LingOrm are called The Premium Visual GL Couple. In real life, they’re very similar to their characters. That’s probably why I’ve grown so fond of them, and now I’m a fan!
