2019-02-09 18:53:34 +0000 UTCI was shocked to learn about the part of walking over a child and having to pass over them back or their growth would be stunted. I grew up in Western Africa and we had the exact same belief and ritual as little kids. I distinctly remember fights as the transgressed would try to force the transgressor to walk over them back if they refused to do so. Makes me wonder how universal that belief is.
