Update: MissiCake is the new illustrator for A Quirky Night!
Added 2025-05-12 12:39:40 +0000 UTCHello everyone! The polls from both DeviantArt and Patreon have spoken, and they just so happened to align with my personal preference, too!
It's official: the artist who will replace Kalal in the role of illustrator for A Quirky Night is @MissiCake !
I want to thank them for agreeing to this collaboration, and I also want to thank @keroochub who, despite not making the final pick, was still very kind in their openness to my proposal and delivered an excellent piece of concept art nonetheless!
Personally, I am glad to finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing this project's future is secured. Unfortunately, the saying "no rest for the wicked", which has been defining my personal life during these past few months, is once again rearing its ugly head ^-^"
I will have to focus hard on writing my master's thesis for the next few weeks, so I won't be able to dedicate my attention to working on A Quirky Night. I will still try to find a bit of time, hopefully deliver one page or two, but I can't make any promises. I am sorry to ask this to all of you, but I'm afraid you'll have to be patient for a little while longer before new AQN pages can start rolling in again.
A big thank you to everyone who voted on the polls, to everyone who supported me financially, and to everyone to left words of encouragement during this difficult period of transition! And one final, massive thank you to MissiCake for choosing to become our new artist!
