Mermaid x Fisherman

Kinda wanna do more with this, but obvi when thinking of mermaids I would like Portia needs to be unique and a lil weird so a big orange octopus feels right… plus she’s freaky so…. Very much giving ursula vibes. I think she’d be passively obsessed with human stuff, she ain’t tryna abandon it all, but she’s curious. Lonely fisherman works daily and obvi he pissed her off 5 yrs ago so she messed with him, and etc. I can’t decide what the plot would be, feel like it’d be more Portia wanting human shit magazines, gossip, anything, maybe even admits she wants to be ‘up top’ and find a human husband/wife someday and Edwin’s lonely af so she’d be giving him advice maybe. Or they both have friends that are in love and they’re morbidly curious like ‘I wanna see how this will play out’ and help them get together.
Obvi one thing leads to another, and she admits she’s never had a human before and is curious and he’s like ‘to eat…’ and she’s like ‘no- dumbass, to BONE, I don’t eat people god’ and suddenly hes a lonely man trying to decide if losing the v card to a giant octopus woman is ethical, legal, advisable, or dangerous, aka ‘is it a ploy? Will she drown me?’ Y’all already know what happens. I think it’s H2O rules, so on dry land she can have legs or something and he’s like ‘I miss mermaid Portia…’ cause he also freaky
