Parents, mom is from down south with a big Texan dad and Japanese mom. That’s working idea, not sure if that’s what I wanna go with, was also considering Korean but I’ll update when inspiration strikes. Anyway. They met at a John Denver concert, Edwin’s dad has insane lanky dude rizz and immediately got his future wife’s attention. They continued concert hopping/cross country touring until 6 months later they get married (partially due to realizing they were expecting OOPS, but also cause they are each others SOULMATE) like they’re very in love… crunchy, music loving, love
Edwin’s dad is some form of engineer who’s like the only person with specific clearance so he hates his job but can’t get fired so he’s p lax/sassy about it. He wants to be a proffessional bird watcher. His mom I think is a therapist? She’s a bit overbearing but knows boundaries and wants her kids to flyyyyy hiiii. When she gets older she def dyed her hair wild colors cause she’s a funky mom. Her passion is photography, so she travels with her husband to do that and telecomunicates with her clients.
Edwin’s dad is a menace and tries to smoke his 🌿 whenever possible and a very prolific jokester, mom is also kinda goofy but is kinda a mind reader and knows her kids p well… until she doesn’t. I think she does but assumes she knows them better than reality so when she misses things she spins out. It’s a very ‘let’s talk about feelings’ household which Edwin hates as the angsty one in the family.
