Wedding time!

Timeline: Portia gets the cidery in the will, Edwin was planning on proposing so this just ends up working out really well! The cidery has a house next to the property that's for sale and Portia has said how much she loves it. As a way to be a iconic bf, Edwin looks into buying the place since he wants to do something special and help portia/give her something big! He's got a good chunk of savings... only he's suddenly very flighty and busy and portia begins to suspect somethings up... and then she finds out shes pregnant. Not sure how she finds out, probably either on accident or is at a doctor's appointment thinking she's ill and edwin was like 'oh no im so sorry i can't go!' because he secretly has an appointment to go see the house, and he ALWAYS goes with her, so she's mad to begin with.... and then the doctor is like 'girl.... you are like 3 months pregnant'

Portia is shaken, and tries to talk to edwin, but he's busy and not picking up on her feelings atm. She also finds out that the cidery isn't what she thought, and after the initial '5 star' inspection, they find a BIG problem, i'm thinking like mold, or like it's a big mess idk. So now suddenly portia's being told it'd be better to sell HER DREAM because she doesn't have THAT much money. She eventually sees edwin go into her dream house with a WOMAN and he lies about where he is, so next time she follows and confronts him, ready for a brawl until he explains. she tells him UH MORON you knocked me up. Now they're in a real bad way.... but edwin's always wanted to be a dad so hes very much 'do what you think is best because i don't want to sway your opinion' or let's on he maybe doesn't care... portia says she wants to be a mom, and when else is this gonna happen, plus she's been pregnant before (long time ago, with a short fling bf) and terminated it and doesn't wanna do it again! besides, it's kinda like... when else will this happen??? So they try to figure out what to do. She says she wants to marry him and is SO TOUCHED by his efforts, but says they can't afford a wedding and she wants one? and she wants to not be pregnant going down the isle.

Eventually they are going to appointments and trying to figure out their money issue, and plan on selling the place which would mean 'why get the house', and during this edwin's always the 'boyfriend' or 'fiance', 'baby daddy' until he has enough and tells portia he wants to marry her, that was his intention, and he HATES being just the boyfriend, he wants to be her HUSBAND, they're having a kid, what does he have to do to get her to marry him. so she tells him to drive to city hall and they'll get married right then. He's shocked, and she says 'well obvi lets do it! i want ya!' so thats what they do, get married in their jeans and are a bit shocked after the fact....

now they are secretly married and expecting... NOT SURE HOW THEY TELL PEOPLE

Portia's uncle (michelin star chef) hears portia got the cidery in the will and shows up to invest as a 'i need to be a better family member to you' move. and then shes suspicious he's doing it cause he dad told him she's pregnant.... only for him to be so excited he offers to give more and help out as much as possible! So then they can make it happen!

While Portia's working on the cidery, and making it an actual business, edwin is working the land and working on their new home which had to def be stripped, so they move back in with his parents as they prepare to welcome baby. His parents are thrilled, and stop traveling just to help out. Portia's dad is at the cidery EVERY DAY HELPING OUT, her uncle helps, everyone really helps.

After its going, baby is born, and they get invited to a friends wedding. Portia sighs that she wishes they had done the white gown wedding. Edwin decides to make it HAPPEN. gets her a better ring, and plans a cute proposal. It's either in the garden they first met, OR at the drive in movie place they went on their first 'date' as fwb... He proposes, asking her if she'll do the full wedding, and Portia replies that she's pregnant. again! But accepts and very happily explains 'if i can plan a business, i can plan a wedding' so she plans the wedding while pregnant with baby 2, and a few months after baby 2 is born, they have their wedding!

It's a labor of love by their family and friends to help them out, they def employ a lot of community members and are just... good people that help a lot, so their community helps them out. Their small wedding becomes WAY BIGGER than anticipated, but dw! people brought their own food and drinks! It's very fun, and i think during it some more of their friends find love, or maybe get inspired to marry their partner! It's very nice and fun and romantic.

Still working out some kinks. I like the idea that edwin's sister's boyfriend (javier) wanted to talk to Portia about something leading up but they couldn't make it happen, so at the wedding she hounds him like 'what did you wannt tell me?!' and he is like 'no! it's your day! this isn't about that-' and obvi she doesn't take no as an answer. He explains he wants to propose to HIS gf aka marcel aka edwins sister, and portia's like DO IT RN! I WANNA SEE IT! he doesn't do it... or maybe he does??? idk!

Trying to name their kids. I feel like they'd have plant names... Oliver/Basil/Oakley/idk and Holly/poppy/idk.....
