Edwin is more so the halloween slasher film marathoner, while she's the halloween party guru... So when Edwin has a gf, he wants to ensure his time is spent fairly between his friends, his sisters, and his gf. This would probably be the second or third year they're together or something.... Like enough that he has it down to a science aka movie marathon with the boys, take his sisters trick or treating, then going out/doing other fall activities with Portia. He wants it separate just because it's easier for him and he knows how his friends can be..... He prob does some fun fall things with portia and his sisters together.
I think his friends are pretty well intentioned, but they probably feel a little left out, or at least jealous because they wanna be invited to things! Edwins the only one that doesn't want to go to stuff and yet he gets all the invites cause his gf is popular and her friends like him... her single friends.... Obvi they gotta crash the party.
Not sure how this would turn out, i think maybe the guys accidentally meet the loves of their life within portia's friend group that night and then beg for her help or something
