Thinking of them later in life. Portia eventually opens a cidery and edwin is the groundskeeper catch all. she basically says 'go crazy, this is ur life now' and releases him into a plot of land with full creative freedom. he does just that. Obvi it gets them marked as a green cidery, and they make quite the name for themselves! portia has a great product, and is an incredible sales woman + knows what shes doing, she's been brewing since she was younger than she should, and the location is now beautiful! They are booked and busy, and Portia def was making 0 money since she wanted anything and everything to go into the business at the start, making sure employees were well paid, etc. She is a strict but very cool boss, aka she wants things done the way she wants them, but is very much a 'oh your sitter canceled? i'll watch baby!' and gives days off etc since she worked in the service industry her while life before this.
Eventually, their business is BOOMING, they are booked and busy, and Edwin, as the finance man, tells portia her new salary.... making sure to tell her how proud he is and how hard shes worked before letting her know she makes more money than him now.... she is DEVASTED since she wanted to be a trophy wife but now she makes more and does EVERYTHING! He does a ton too, but he's pleased with himself. Edwin gets to go do whatever he wants whenever he wants, grow whatever he wants, and portia uses it in her cider. Peach cider, cranberry, pear, rhubarb... whatever he has. obvi its seasonal.
He grows the fruits and vegetables and presents them to his wife and she makes whatever the heck she's feeling! She's a great cook, so somtimes he will bring specific things because he really wants her to make something for him.... makes sure to grow and get whatever shes feeling... Edwin isn't much of a cook, but hes a cleaner... and runs around getting herbs etc for her, cleaning after the portia tornado. its very efficient and tasty!
Also, trying to decide how many kids they should have! what do you think?
