The Break Up

FWB relationship begins, remaining enemies in public but secretly seeing each other to hook up, until they're spending all their free time together... and not even hooking up. Portia is basically spending every other night over, even if it's just to 'hang out', spending most days together, going out together. Edwin becomes more confident, and Portia convinces him to do a show with his band, whether its like a local event talent show or some battle of the bands, it's not meant to be a 'we will be famous' thing, but just to do something. Edwin finally agrees…. Only then Eventually Edwin accidentally confesses he loves her, he figures she felt the same but she gets upset and ends things. He deals with his first real heart break and she deals with hers, worried she’s too messy/whatever excuses people can make… he eventually goes on to go to the show but can’t go on, too much stage fright. Portia went to see how it’d go, knowing he’d be nervous, and follows him out where they have a p salty confrontation. She admits she broke things off because she thinks he’s awesome and deserves someone as good as he is. He doesn’t take any of it, and asks why she can’t just be with him and what did he do wrong?! Because he doesn’t want anyone else. Edwin’s p blunt with his feelings, and understandably says if he said it before she’s ready, he doesn’t expect to hear it from her. She admits that’s everything good that’s happened is usually followed up by some tradgedy (her mom walking out, her dad getting sick, etc) and that she’s afraid. They end things with her helping him go out and do the damn thing. Everyone gets to see his talent, Portia cries because she’s proud, and then he cries because he’s thankful she helped him so much. She finally asks if he will be her boyfriend because she wants to see what happens, and he gets mad because he asked first
