Portia is a well experienced lady where as Edwin hasn’t held a girls hand before… they begin their enemies/friends with benefits, but obvi they have both liked each other LONG before that. Edwin I think is more up front with it, unintentionally, meaning while Portia thinks it’s purely just some fun, he is wanting more aka snuggling, talking, spending time. He is the one that asks to extend the hang out, I don’t think it ever was a transactional thing, from the start he asked to get her dinner or do an activity other than… that, so pretty soon she’s around more often, and there’s less heavy petting and more hand holding, ‘this isn’t a date’ dates, they talk for hours, and p soon she’s spending the night and staying the next day… even without anything happening. He wouldn’t be up front, but… perhaps buys a toothbrush to keep as his place, asks if she wants to get lunch, gets two tickets to see a band. Portia is more arms length and is very obsessed with him but doesn’t want to admit it, so she usually is like ‘ya whatever’ but also leaves her hair clips so she has to come back to get them, tells him she needs a ride so he will go with her to things, buys him clothes etc because ‘well if we get seen together, you ought to look out together’
In typical Portia fashion, she’s the type to make fun of you and be mean while giving a handy or bj, then goes home and takes care of herself because to her it’s all just fun, and she’d rather not be disappointed cause then she wont be interested. She gets the ick quickly. She is more tolerant with Edwin because 1. He has no idea what he’s doing, 2. Is deeply infatuated, so when he asks to return the favor, she agrees… only she’s never been with a guy who’s so vocally into her, like begging messy compliments and desperate kisses, who plays guitar and works with his hands for a living so they’re naturally skilled, strong but gentle, and she almost immediately finishes which is a PROBLEM, because now he’s cocky and she is realizing how much she really likes him.
