Maybe Birdie just has a type... While Gigi (the fairy) and Raff seem VERY different, they are both sugar FANATICS, and soon bond over this fact, also because they both are bad with money and spend it immediately and then have to beg their bestie (the cleric) for food. Gigi is birdie's childhood friend (and her only friend) but she travels a lot. She pops in now and again because she misses her bestie, and begins to get more involved to 'help'! Because as we know, everyone needs a fairygodmother, and Gigi is trying to make her besties wishes to come true by helping her GET IT. Gigi has eyes, and quickly tries to deduce who of Birdie's party would be best suited for her, and begins her match making, originally immediately rejecting Raff as a candidate because 'he's so cranky...' only to see a moment, maybe two... and put it together that perhaps hes the one her friend likes best. She then is sworn to secrecy. She can be a bit much, and although she has Raff as a bachelor, there are plenty of fish in the sea, and shes going to make sure her future in-law is the BEST! During this process, she is alone with Raff and for a moment is observant. He doesn't say anything 'romantic' or 'obviously nice', but he is supportive, he is gentle, and he gives Birdie his olives and pickles without being asked because she loves them. Gigi blurts out 'Do you like pickles?' to which he frowns, thinking its just her being herself, and immediately says 'yes, I do' and she immediately blurts out that he likes the cleric. He is red in the face, trying to deny it, and she happily tells him 'it was just a joke, but since youre so upset, I GUESS ITS TRUE!' then she spends the rest of the time trying to coach him on how to make dreams come true aka ask out his crush. They have a beautiful friendship... he does get mad when he wakes up and sees Gigi spooning his wife, but girl friendships are just more powerful than marriage
