Sneak Peak: Expecting

Some cute stuff, some family bonding. Raff is dubious about what it means for a human to be pregnant because dragonborns lay eggs, aka first half is egg creators job, second half is egg caretakers job, so someone makes the egg, and the partner takes care of said egg until it hatches, which in my mind baby dragonborns have teeth, eat solids, etc as soon as they're born. They walk maybe a few weeks or a month, and grow quicker before evening out with humans, aka in their late teens/early adults. So Raff is used to that, and is like 'human babies seem really unfunctional....'
Only to have his own kids with Birdie and are like WOW THEY NEED ME THIS IS AMAZING, because he loves taking care of people and eventually transitions to being a stay at home dad so Birdie can continue her clinic.
Raff also is a freak and is extra possessive and gets a few good smacks for acting crazy when Birdie is pregnant, he also finds her very very attractive... and is very happy when she's no longer pregnant because she is feeling better, more independent, but he is also very sad because she is more independent and isn't pregnant.... He is also 1 of 10 so he's sliding in like "soooo another? another? Now? It's be great now-" and she is like ya sure, you can have it then.... NO NOT RIGHT NOW WE HAVE A NEWBORN
