The Finch Clinic: Part 1
Added 2023-11-12 05:52:09 +0000 UTCPost adventure Birdie and Raff settle down in a human house they modify for some draconic elements + widen/raise the furniture so he can fit thorough it better. I think they basically gutted it and had to meet halfway, like the stairs have to be wide enough he can fit, but the steps can't be so big Birdie can't walk up them, or the counter can't be too high she can't use it etc. They meet in the middle, she still can't reach some shelves, and he bumps his head sometimes, but it works!
Birdie runs her healing clinic out of their home, it has a separate entrance but it's connected through the kitchen for ease of cleaning/entry/etc. Raff works as the head of guard in the city nearby, so he comes back to have lunch/surprise Birdie and he will usually keep an eye on the clientele in case they are weirdos.... or he sits in the kitchen and eaves drops because he's bored.
Raff keeps his cool normally, but there was just something about this guy that got under his skin. He heard the whole thing, and just can't shake it.
I do think because of their differences many people don't realize they are a couple when they are apart.
Also running gag is Birdie only ever being flirted with by monsterous races, they know she's into it somehow
