I'm a day late with this newsletter, but I was doing comics so I demand you forgive me.

What's going on:
Getting back to Quest Sprout's story became a barrier to getting pages done, so I'm just focusing on one-offs for a bit to get back into the workflow. It deserves my full attention. There will be another new episode later today!

I recorded two podcasts this week, one with ColmsComic and the Pen-Pals; and the other with Moonhawk Studios! Links when I have them.

I think I'll be at Armageddon Expo this weekend demoing the game? But I haven't had confirmation of my placement yet. I'm a very last minute volunteer. The Quest Sprout comic book will be available at the NZ Comic Artists stall anyway, so make sure you grab one!

Swords: Cut the Deck is a nominee for a Pav Award! I'll be at the award ceremony May 2nd - wish us luck! If you're going to NZ Games Fest, I think there will be a playable demo set up too.

Thane and Stacey are at Staple Expo in Austin, TX today, getting Cut the Deck cards signed by some of our guest artists - LitterboxComics, GrisleyComic, LastPlaceZach and MyDadIsDracula!

We're still adding new content to swords.game. This week we're making a better Tutorial module that will kinda make Sickle Vs. Silvertongue redundant. If we remove any content from the main site, I'll keep it archived on Patreon for posterity (I'll post the old versions of the rulebook some other time).

A new Makeship prototype just arrived! No, it is not Choplet. I have no plans to make a plushie of Choplet. It's tempting to put him in Cut the Deck though... Got a fun idea for a Hero ability?

I've now watched the entirety of Modern Life Is Goodish, basically all of the Pokemon movies (the ending song for the Genesect movie was bad) and a let's play of Final Fantasy XIII, because it's been a hella long time since I played it. I'm sure I'm gonna steal some ideas.
