As I understand it none of the animals that escaped into the wild had big enough breeding populations to survive more than a generation or two. So the main issue would be social disruption form large animals running around near people

FINALLY YES !! I mean it can still be a good movie thanks to suspension of disbelief, but there is absolutely no chance free dinosaurs would be anything but a temporary issue.

I think the dinos would also all be suffering from hypoxia because of the lower concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere. We'd be fine.

well, the comic is true if we want to kill them all, but I believe some people want to KEEP THEM AROUND which can cause a problem. It is like human. We can kill them dead, but should we? ;)
