Sports Car (strip)

If you could have a shall we say "unnecessary" vehicle without any of the expenses (gas, taxes, purchase, etc.), what would It be? I've always wanted a lifted vintage pickup truck, with a modern engine and stuff of course.

Answer: Monster truck

I love Pixie's happy little smile at the end.

Licia

That sounds like me and my husband discussing about cars. Him: But why do you like this one? Me: It's pretty.

An Aston Martin DB10.

Brown Eyed Girl

Cuz they sound cool!

KansaiKensei

Are you aware of this...https://www.facebook.com/groups/1317320115289371/

Oh, my God, I love Pixie.

A Willys jeep would be incredible to own. (that's the original WW II Jeep maker.) I'd love one of them myself!

Jamie LaMoreaux

a friend of mine has one and Shelby signed the dash. it's a car show winner and they love it so much!

Jamie LaMoreaux

Duzzys are the best aren't they?!?! sigh. the insurance would kill me if the repair cost didn't!

Jamie LaMoreaux

I hope you're short, they're nearly impossible for tall people to get into! :-P

Jamie LaMoreaux

I've had two, a yellow one and a white one, 1972 and a '79. DO NOT get a superbeetle with fuel injection. you'll need to replace the floorboards (the battery sits RIGHT on the floorboard under the back seat and the acid rots it out.) the superbeetle is JUST a tiny bit longer in the chassie than the regular one and the cost almost doubles for a replacement. they are work horses and just go. loved mine. and miss them badly.

Jamie LaMoreaux

the Chitty CHitty Bang bang was based on an actual car called a Chitty Bang. and it was very cool. it just didn't fly, float or act alive. but it did win races.

Jamie LaMoreaux

USS Enterprise 1701-Constitution class, a Ford Model A roadster with modern engine and interior start, a 1959 beetle conv, cherry red with automatic top (those things are pure steel and HEAVEY suckers!) or a firefly class space ship. :-) or a Star Fury from Babylon 5 they look like a lot of fun, and finally a 1931 Duesenberg Convertible. because they are simply beautiful and I couldn't afford an oil change right now for that car!

Jamie LaMoreaux

I love how he knew exactly how she was going to misunderstand his comment before she even said anything. :)

Non-Euclidean Cat

origial ford car like the ones that look like boxes or the car from chitty chitty bang bang

rosie shirley

A 1969 deep purple Pontiac GTO. Yeah.

I know they’re not making them anymore. And I wouldn’t know how to drive the thing. But I’ve always wanted a green beetle. The old one. Convertible. But yea I agree with Brutus

Bugatti Veyron or Chiron. I have very expensive taste 😆

Jenella Dover

A blue Lamborghini Aventador! But only for the looks and tech, I don't require a too much powerfull engine. Well I do agree unless people want to go some runs on a closed circuit. Otherwise people tend to drive much too fast and cause accidents... too dangerous. I have a car with 140CC and it's okay like than, what it's needed to drive without losing power and enough to pass someone safely, and not driving too fast and consuming too much fuel. Plus, it looks cool. Looks don't need to be attached to a too much powerful car. Ps: stop square head Pixieeeeee

What happened to the Youtooz giveaway? Had the winner been announced?

One vehicle? Vehicles are always a compromise... Given the space to park everything and costs not being object, to avoid compromise it would have to be the following list of vehicles: 1. Ex emergency services Crew-Cab Magirus 4x4 or Unimog 435 set up as an expedition vehicle for, well, expeditions and if mad max happens. Can be run on anything that burns and can be repaired with a socket set and bailing wire. Doesn't go fast but can go most places. 2. Mercedes V250d (or, preferably, EQV if they get to doing electric in 4x4) 4x4 Marco Polo Active for overnighting and towing smaller stuff where vehicle 1 is too big and slow. 3. VW ID3 as a daily driver (big on the inside, small on the outside, economical) 4. Lotus Elise 111. Because. 5. You really meant cost etc no object? Rimac Nevera. That should cover most use cases...

Lamborghini Countach. I fell in love with the first one I saw, and have been jonesing for one ever since.

Am Queue

I don't really have a thing for cars and the different types, but I can say this. Do what makes you happy. Even if a sports car is impractical to have, if it makes you happy and you can keep up with payments and such, get one. Just be wary of gas prices and the Ozone layer(which I'm pretty sure is nonexistent now, anyway, I blame CEOs of corporations).

CSDX

Honestly, a Jeep of some kind. One of the big ones, Grand Cherokee or something. Decked out a bit for off road things. Something Brutus could approve of.

SomemuttupNorth

A Shelby/Ford GT500. Solid racing car, just to drive every weekend with friends. Definitely not an everyday car

Ryan Sunderman

Challenger in mango, with black stripes. tricked out, all the goodies

Stephanie Martin

I've always wanted a mid-1990's Saab 900 convertible. In a deep forest green. Light Tan leather top and interior. There a childhood connection for me. But I would love a perfectly redone one. To the specs. Yeah...

Imagine, if you will, a cargo van with optional passenger benches. Hybrid Diesel with solar panels and a full chrome finish.

Thomas Halpin

1978 Trans Am, 1971 Hemi Charger

I’d have a fully electric minivan with one of those metallic paint jobs that looks like it’s changing color when you move past it. Plus all the bells and whistles like the self opening doors and TVs in the headrests.

Amy

Duesenberg SJ.

James Kantor

I have a 1976 L82 Corvette stingray and I don’t think I’d trade it for anything tbh

Fancy? corvette. They're preeeeetty. Otherwise? I want a nice pickup and a Harley. But i am saving to get an outback sport :)

Alexey Didenko

Easy, a 1962 Corvette C1 Convertible, black with red leather interior and chrome highlights. Been my dream car ever since I had the poster on my wall as a little kid. There is no greater car on Earth, in my opinion.

Dean

I want a dukes of Hazzard Dodge Charger so I can jump over rivers

Spider-Cat_Gamer

We buy sports cars kinda for the same reason we style our hair 🤷‍♂️

Ben Hed

I want a Power Wagon.

Siobhan MacLeod

67 Chevy impala

My dream car is a '67 GT500 Fastback. I just love the look of the car.

Marcus Dolce

A Maybach!

James Noury

I've always said that if I ever became Bezos-rich...I'd buy a C-130 and turn it into a flying RV. Reach just about anywhwere in the world, huge cargo capacity, lots of room for me and my friends and can land pretty much anywhere flat. If restricted to a car...that Gull-wing Mercedes I almost spent my life savings on a long time ago (and the fact that I could buy it with MY life savings at the time almost guaranteed that it needed another couple lifes-savings worth of work... )

Bruce Johnson

I want a Morgan in British racing green with copper trim 🥰

Carolyn-Ann Webb

I had a Triumph Spitfire in the '70s, and I've always wanted another one. Though I'd have it candy apple red this time. 😍

Cathy W.

A fully worked Mercedes Sprinter Van, with a kitchen, shower, bed, and solar paneling to provide electricity. The full Van Life dream package, basically.

Matthew Williams

Tesla Model S Plaid

Daniel Waylonis

I want a high tech submarine.

Madeline Cross

Love this strip! And my answer to your question would be a 1930s vintage Bentley or Rolls limo in British Green. Assuming maintenance was magically taken care of and of course a driver. (And modern AC somewhere hidden)

Bruce Glassford

I'd love a two-seater convertible, like my old 1991 BRG Mazda Miata. It was a great car when I was single but a husband and large doggo wouldn't both fit. Then when the tree from the hurricane crushed it, well, I do love my Ford Edge SUV now.

An old Stout Scarab, or a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost from the 20s. Both incredibly impractical and needlessly expensive, and holy crap I want them.

Greg B

I feel like this is the real reason lol

SinisterVibe

Corvette C-8 Spider: provided I didn’t need to worry about money! Lol And if you never want to tow anything, never travel with more than one other person, and you don’t go off-roading then it really is fun.

Xastion

Love this one. I love how he secretly kinda loves the car. My pick for a total indulgence car would probably be some sort of vintage convertable, painted hot or pastel pink. Completely unsafe on the highway, but tiny and cute as the dickens.

Porsche 911 turbo

Rebekah Prince-DeCastro

A classic red vintage truck. Ugh gorgeous. Also i love his tiny smile in the last frame!

I'd love a basketball dunking car!

Gianberlin

God this is the most accurate conversation I have with my coworkers and we work in the car industry
