Vote for some charities!!!

First off, thank you guys so much for you're constant support.

I don't know the exact number until the month is up, but thanks to you guys, roughly 19 THOUSAND dollars will be getting donated to 3 very worthy charities!

This whole thing feels very good, and I hope it does for you guys too.

Seriously, thanks.

You should look into Pets for Vets for a future charity....

I’m so sad Higher Ground doesn’t have more votes! Our veterans need help now more than ever.

Voted, so hard to choose!

And still they do better than many other countries... I'm a veteran from the Royal Dutch Army, and there is virtually NO official government support, aside from some symbolism like Veterans Day activities... When I came back from Iraq, I was sent home, no follow-up, no debriiefing or moral support! My medal/theatre ribbon was just handed to me in a box... The majority of support comes from either normal providers (like psychologists with generic PTSD training) or volunteer organizations. As a result a big part of the populace thinks veterans with PTSD are posers, and any ailments they have "our own fault" because "we knew what we were getting in to"... A small percentage even calls us "murderers" even though we have not started a war in many generations and only participated in liberation (Kuwait) and peace/humanitarian missions (Kurds, North Iraq and Bosnia/Serbia). (If you search DuckDuckGo for Dutchbat, the first suggested search is "Dutchbat cowards", when they were abandoned by the NATO command as much as the Srebrenica people were! 😢)

I wish their were more animal charities 🥺 The veteran charities stood out to me because in all honesty America doesn’t really do great with veterans. Especially those with ptsd. And as someone studying psychology, I understand the devastating effects of ptsd and I believe veterans deserve more accessible therapists and doctors to help them.

If it’s not too late, my local animal shelter has a lot of kittens and are running out of supplies. The Circle of Friends Humane Society, Grand Forks, ND. I donate monthly, but it’s not much. I’m currently in school, so I’m doing my best to get anything going their way, even if it’s just a few dollars. Everything counts ♥️

Just a suggestion, you can create a list of charities and drop that list into a random list generator (random.org is one that I know another patreon I follow uses). That way, it is completely random and no one gets preferential treatment. However, that is entirely up to you and I think any donation will be awesome!!

i also need to think you because you gave me a lot of good time reading your posts.

I don't know about you, but the goal of Operation Underground Raiload really seems helpful. For me, it'd be a top priority tbh

My dad, brother, grandfather, and uncle were all Marines, so that charity definitely got my vote. All these charities are amazing though, I'm so glad you do this!

You've got some fantastic options on the poll. Any of those will be deserving :)

I know you'll be going with a North American charity, but for any UK based patreon supporters here is a great relevant couple of charities to think of https://www.bravehound.co.uk/. https://www.erskine.org.uk/

I had never heard of some of the charities on the list and now have some great research to do. The Higher Grounds USA really stood out to me with their work to help service members with PTSD support. Thank you for sharing these charities with us!

I think it's so great of you to do that! No matter which charities win. Good on you :)

I wish there had been animal rights charities on the list. 😔😔😔
