Poll: which posting format did you guys prefer?
Added 2020-01-14 00:06:40 +0000 UTCI got mixed messages on the last post regarding whether I should post comics as one single long strip (as with most of the comics on here) or separate each panel in a multi-pic post (as with the last comic).
Which do you guys prefer?
( Note: either way is pretty much just as easy as far as posting, so it really makes no difference for me)

I can't read the long strip on the app. Maybe doing both would be great for everyone. First panel with the long strip and individual image on the other panels. 😁

2020-02-05 18:54:24 +0000 UTCLong comic is almost impossible to read on mobile.

2020-01-30 02:24:34 +0000 UTCI lied! I voted long strip without realizing the app is crashing and glitching like crazy, and half the comic is cut-off sometimes. Don't you want to open another poll? 😪😋
2020-01-29 18:13:58 +0000 UTCYea the long comic strip is freaking out Patreon.

2020-01-25 20:06:23 +0000 UTCI cant even scroll through your feed anymore the long panels glitch the app so much :(
2020-01-21 22:50:38 +0000 UTCi have to click the long strips in order to read the comics on mobil or else i can’t read all the words but after clicking more than 1 my phone crashes
2020-01-19 20:17:41 +0000 UTCI like a single long strip, since I like to download and save all of your comics. Saves me from having to combine individual panels into one long strip myself.
2020-01-19 03:18:40 +0000 UTCSeptated because Patreon won't actually display them in full resolution when they're long
2020-01-18 21:34:31 +0000 UTCThe single strip crashes my phone as well

2020-01-18 15:19:05 +0000 UTCI want to take my comment back about long panels crashing crashing my phone just by scrolling, I emailed Patreon with a video that this posts crash all iPhones and they fixed it. So the app finally works like it should and the images are phone mode now so you can keep making long posts now
2020-01-18 01:19:28 +0000 UTCI prefer panels. The Long strips crash the app. This means I view your art on email, but then I cannot ‘like’ it from there.
2020-01-18 00:51:11 +0000 UTCI would prefer panels over strips because I can’t iOS to zoom in enough on the long still to be able to read the text easily. Yes, my eyesight is that bad....
2020-01-17 16:53:13 +0000 UTCYou can do whatever you want, I love them all!
2020-01-16 21:07:49 +0000 UTC(I‘m sorry for faults, I’m german)
2020-01-16 14:48:09 +0000 UTCThe app is terrible (iPhone). I can never see the strips from it. It just closes randomly. I have to log onto the web-site.
2020-01-16 07:48:26 +0000 UTCAs others said, the single strip always messes up my app. It’s hard to get it to zoom in and crashes constantly. I can’t even read older content because it crashes every time on those.
2020-01-16 03:32:33 +0000 UTCNoooooooooooo😭😭😭 I didn’t see this in time to vote. Now my phone freezes every time I have to zoom in. (sorry, not able to read -10 font without zooming😅)
Arses21434
2020-01-16 03:26:11 +0000 UTCI can’t read them in the long strip because the app crashes because of file size. If it keeps crashing I’m going to have to back out because I can’t read the content
Kendra Wooton
2020-01-15 22:56:04 +0000 UTCThe long strip always makes my app go wanky. And sometimes when I try and zoom in it just keeps zooming out. Ya girl can’t read the comics if ya girl can’t zoom in!!
2020-01-15 22:08:52 +0000 UTCThe panels are easier to see on mobile. Most of the time, the strips won't load at all and if I try to zoom in to see what they are saying, I can't read it cause it gets blurry
2020-01-15 22:07:28 +0000 UTCI view the strip by clicking the link from my email... and the single long strip loads as one and is easy to scroll through. The separate panels take time to load, which is the reason I prefer the single long strip. But at the end of the day, neither of them detract from my enjoyment of the posts.
2020-01-15 14:59:57 +0000 UTCOr maybe put two copies in separate panels and long strip
2020-01-15 05:59:44 +0000 UTCWelp time to use computer
2020-01-15 05:59:06 +0000 UTCThe single strip messes up in my app on the iPhone. It was WAY easier to read in separate panels. I didn’t have to try zooming in and then not being able to see the whole comic because it won’t scroll like it does when it’s in a single long strip.
2020-01-15 02:34:55 +0000 UTCThe separate panels make it so I can actually read the comic in order
Kariko
2020-01-15 02:15:11 +0000 UTCI wasn’t able to view the single, multi-panel post in the app last time. :/
2020-01-14 18:01:39 +0000 UTCThe long strip makes the app crash, it seems. Suuuuper annoying.
2020-01-14 17:57:50 +0000 UTCCan you not put the long one as the first image, then break them down into separate panels in the same post? That way, everyone is happy?
2020-01-14 17:53:11 +0000 UTCThe separate panels are really hard to view.
2020-01-14 17:35:15 +0000 UTCThis, exactly. I almost never click through the Patreon emails. I like being able to see the whole strip in my inbox.
Casmira Boland
2020-01-14 16:39:02 +0000 UTCThe separate panels I get to actually see the comic on the app instead of having to download the whole strip just to read it
2020-01-14 16:01:21 +0000 UTCI thought the single strip referred to the horizontal one.
2020-01-14 14:34:15 +0000 UTCAfter reading the comments. I’m 99% sure that people don’t know which one is long vs separates and some are putting the wrong one. Can you redo as horizontal vs vertical?
2020-01-14 14:28:44 +0000 UTCThe Patreon app doesn't work for me, so I read the comics on my computer - I can generally view the entire strip from the notification email. As someone else pointed out, it isn't obvious in the email that there are additional panels to view. I can view the individual panels from the Patreon site, but I do think the single strip is a bit easier and more natural to read!
2020-01-14 14:12:42 +0000 UTCLong strip please, that was I can read directly from my email notification instead of logging in to Patreon.
2020-01-14 14:10:25 +0000 UTCI have zero preference. However, I will say the single large image is a little tough because it renders huge on my screen and sometimes I cannot tell where panels start and end. I do change page zoom, but then text gets hard to read. I figure it out, just a note for my experience.
Pamela Hineman (Lexy Wolfe)
2020-01-14 13:49:41 +0000 UTCThe long strip is buggy on the iOS app for some reason and always crashes the app so I have to go on the browser, log in and read them there. The seperated ones were just fine now. They work much better for the app.

2020-01-14 12:34:13 +0000 UTCLong strip please! I like to read from my emails as patreon's log in is annoying.
2020-01-14 12:28:33 +0000 UTCA vote for the long strip, as I'm one who'll just read it from my email if possible.
Rebecca
2020-01-14 12:16:11 +0000 UTCLong. I hate logging in. It's nice viewing from my inbox.
liz
2020-01-14 11:18:33 +0000 UTCSeparated panels are harder for people to repost. So I vote for that.
Faltnor
2020-01-14 11:08:06 +0000 UTCIkr, separate is evul.
2020-01-14 10:55:53 +0000 UTCIt sure is.
2020-01-14 10:53:58 +0000 UTCMe too, wasnt until I went into it a second time I realised I had to go to the site. Which wasnt very good to read, way more enjoyable as one long piece
2020-01-14 10:48:20 +0000 UTCWhat are you talking about? It was like the Instagram posts. Didn’t make any deference to me
2020-01-14 10:35:45 +0000 UTCLong one, the other was awkward to read and I couldnt see some of the panels, I use my phone only so, dunno if its better on pc but I think the long one is much better
2020-01-14 10:12:53 +0000 UTCI prefere separated panels. I mostly watch the comics on my desktop and not on my phone. Besides I'm a foreign language teacher and sometimes I use the comics in my lessons (translated!) so for me it's much easier to have separated panels to overwrite the translated texts.
2020-01-14 09:53:46 +0000 UTCAs someone who usually reads the comics in the email notification rather than logging on to patreon, I didn't actually realise that the other panels in the last strip were also posted.
2020-01-14 09:50:31 +0000 UTCI don’t think there’s a difference, or you wait long for a large image or you wait a little for every small image
2020-01-14 09:43:30 +0000 UTCI prefer the long strip. I couln’t read the other one on my phone, the format simply wouldn’t fit. And my laptop takes forever to load the images so it’s simpler to wait for one image rather than many. And with long format I can read the comic through the mail so I can get to the comic faster
2020-01-14 09:42:36 +0000 UTCDepending on what my teenager is doing/playing, my internet can drop momentarily and this can mess with pages loading. The long strip means one page is loaded instead of several and means it's easier for me.
Stephanie L. Weippert
2020-01-14 09:38:19 +0000 UTCI read the comics on mobile so a single long strip is the best!
2020-01-14 09:06:54 +0000 UTCOddly I have exactly the opposite problem, the long stripes are fine but the individual panels take forever to load making reading the strip laggy and annoying.
2020-01-14 08:43:28 +0000 UTCMy phone crashes like crazy when I try to see the comics
2020-01-14 08:16:43 +0000 UTCPlease don’t do long panels. It’s super laggy and and a long time to load, even crashes my phone and the website loads 1fps
2020-01-14 08:15:25 +0000 UTCWhatever you would like to do!
2020-01-14 08:08:54 +0000 UTCLong strips are fine, unless they get TOO long. Like the comic in the darkness (2 comic ago) idk how to call it. But I still haven't been able to read it. Because it glitches all over the place. Just an empty screen that flashes black and white when I scroll pas. And when I click on it, and zoom in, it's so blurry I can't read the words.
Oona
2020-01-14 08:06:05 +0000 UTCI use my mobile to read them and have no problem with crashing/not loading. I prefer a single strip so my phone loads it all at once instead of in bits.
Nat Adcock
2020-01-14 07:58:24 +0000 UTCI'm on mobile and I find the long strips much more convenient. That way I can read them in the mail and don't have to go to patreon, log in, and then click through.
Reemda Buczek
2020-01-14 07:55:37 +0000 UTCBoth are ok for me :-)
2020-01-14 07:55:20 +0000 UTCI tend to use my mail to read it, with the only exception being when I'm on the go and therefore on my phone :P So the long strip one allows me to read the whole thing directly, rather than having to try and log in and what not on patreon, and then swiping back and forth. ^_^ Though even doing that is worth it xD
2020-01-14 07:50:03 +0000 UTCI like both <3
2020-01-14 07:34:07 +0000 UTCI just feel like for the pc users its pure convenience to look at the full strip in the mail. Whereas its not usable at all on phones. You said you were sorry for the app crashing and would do anything if you could. And I feel like this is the way, by separating the strip.
Tatchiaz
2020-01-14 07:32:49 +0000 UTCSeparated was heaps easier for me to view on mobile. But if I'm reading them from my emails then 1 strip was better. Hahaha
2020-01-14 07:25:31 +0000 UTCI also don‘t really like the long strip because you can always see the last panel before reading :( that kinda takes the magic away
2020-01-14 06:47:37 +0000 UTCI honestly don‘t get why someone would prefer the long strip even tho it isn‘t working for some people and crashes the app That‘s somehow unfair in my opinion
2020-01-14 06:46:19 +0000 UTCFrom what I can tell, the difference is whether you check your email on your computer or your phone. On the computer, you can scroll through the whole (single panel) comic in your email with no trouble. On the phone, it's too small to read that way.
Jennie Purdy
2020-01-14 06:45:19 +0000 UTCMy wife and I prefer the long strip. It’s more convenient for viewing and it’s less of a hassle overall.
2020-01-14 05:54:25 +0000 UTCThe seperated panels help ‘cause I use mobile and sometimes it crashes or has zooming problems when reading in a long strip
2020-01-14 05:24:48 +0000 UTCExactly
2020-01-14 05:12:10 +0000 UTCYou don’t need to go to the bottom panels. Just tap the first panel, the main one, and then keep scrolling left. They should all come in nice and large.
Dana Gabriel
2020-01-14 04:48:47 +0000 UTCI chose the single long strip, because it shows in my email ( the other one doesn’t), and because it’s really easy to go to my email, and read older comics. Patreon won’t let me so that, every time I go back more than 2 or 3 comics, it crashes.
Dana Gabriel
2020-01-14 04:42:33 +0000 UTCI view it on mobile usually and the separate panels was easier for me than having to click on the comic strip and fiddle around with zooming in!
MokiHunter
2020-01-14 04:34:13 +0000 UTCThe single long strip is much easier for me, I just need to scroll down my email. It's a lot more annoying to have to keep tapping right/swiping.
Damien D
2020-01-14 04:26:19 +0000 UTCThe single long strip is awful. It’s very hard to read. I don’t understand why anyone would like it.
Sandro Abate
2020-01-14 03:45:20 +0000 UTCI had to zoom in to read the bottom panels with my phone. Maybe if they were all the same size it would be better
2020-01-14 03:40:25 +0000 UTCLong strip is so good for viewing via email which i do everytime, always forget my log in for patreon lmao
2020-01-14 03:22:30 +0000 UTCWith stats like that it looks like mixed messages is all you're going to get...
2020-01-14 02:47:19 +0000 UTCI prefer one long strip because then I don’t even have to leave my email 😂
2020-01-14 02:43:41 +0000 UTCI really like not having to log into Patreon to read the comic. The long strip that came through email was much, much easier for me!
Shara S White
2020-01-14 02:24:17 +0000 UTCYeah on the mobile app separate panels is easier; then if you’re reading it in an email, long strip is easier
2020-01-14 02:19:31 +0000 UTCIf the preferences still come out to nearly half and half between long strip and separate panels, why not do both - a long strip this time, separate panels the next. I suspect the preferences are mainly based on what device is used to view the comics. By switching back and forth between them, everyone gets to be happy half the time.
2020-01-14 02:15:12 +0000 UTCI always view on my phone and I like the one long panel, it's just easier for me

2020-01-14 01:18:49 +0000 UTCI think the individual panels work better for the app.
2020-01-14 01:16:07 +0000 UTCI read the comics on my laptop so I'm pretty indifferent. Seems like mobile users have it easier with the separate panels so a few extra clicks instead scrolls isn't gonna bother me lol
JPetrakis
2020-01-14 01:02:19 +0000 UTCSeperate panels makes viewing easy on the phone and gives one the suspense of not knowing what's going to happen next.

2020-01-14 01:01:25 +0000 UTCI just wished i could get your posts consistently because i don't instagram and i miss some on FB
2020-01-14 00:54:33 +0000 UTCI personally prefer the long strip as it allows to visually enjoy and take in the comic strip as a whole peice of art and story telling.
2020-01-14 00:54:23 +0000 UTCI'd prefer separate panels because it's impossible to view on mobile when it's a single long strip, unfortunately.
Jessi Renee
2020-01-14 00:53:18 +0000 UTCI second this idea!!
Julia Clark
2020-01-14 00:51:52 +0000 UTCJust viewing wise, I don't mind. But for actually viewing on my phone I'd prefer it as separated panels so it won't blackout when trying to look at them
2020-01-14 00:48:08 +0000 UTCSeparate is easier for phone I think
2020-01-14 00:47:59 +0000 UTCFor ease of reading in emails, I liked the separate panel idea, so that’s why I chose that, but in honesty I would be happy either way. :3 Thank you, however, for asking the audience. ^^
2020-01-14 00:45:44 +0000 UTCThe separated panels make it readable on my phone

2020-01-14 00:45:15 +0000 UTCEither way I just want to say thank you for asking our opinion 😀
2020-01-14 00:35:40 +0000 UTCI prefer the long strip, but maybe you could do both. The first image would be the full strip and the others would be each panel. That way people like me who likes to read the strips on our emails would continue to enjoy it that way, while the others who use the app could still see the strips with no trouble loading it
Anderson Lopes
2020-01-14 00:31:30 +0000 UTCSwiping takes as much effort as scrolling to be fair 🤷🏻♀️
Racheal Winson
2020-01-14 00:30:40 +0000 UTCI cannot load the long strip. It’s a separate step to go into my browser, log in, then read the strip there. I was very happy he changed to the separated panel as it doesn’t crash the app.
2020-01-14 00:28:52 +0000 UTCFor me the long scroll is better since flipping through is harder with hand mobility issues
2020-01-14 00:28:30 +0000 UTCNow that I am caught up on the older posts I dont have a preference, but when I first joined it was hard to start at the beginning and catch up. Since chronological order affects the story sometimes it can be harder for the new patrons to read the long single strip
2020-01-14 00:24:49 +0000 UTCThis right here
2020-01-14 00:24:48 +0000 UTCI still very much prefer separated panels. Easier to enlarge them and be able to read them comfortably. These old eyes need all the help they can get XD
Rhaevynne
2020-01-14 00:21:34 +0000 UTCSome artists do both. Separate panels then the last image is one long strip
2020-01-14 00:21:21 +0000 UTCSingle please the individual ones took ages to load and it was annoying lol I prefer being lazy and seeing it as one long strip
Kelci929
2020-01-14 00:18:37 +0000 UTCThe IOS app isn’t great for the long strips, so I read them on email and don’t use the app. Long strips were better to read on email.
2020-01-14 00:17:11 +0000 UTCSingle long strip :)
2020-01-14 00:16:34 +0000 UTCI can read the single panel ones in the email on my phone, or view them on the Patreon app if they are separate panels. Either way works.
Lauren Frey
2020-01-14 00:15:21 +0000 UTCLong strip please, so I can read comics from my email. Otherwise I have to use the app, which sucks.
2020-01-14 00:15:18 +0000 UTCI truthfully don't care either way, but I WILL say that with the single strip, I would just scroll down an read it as like a timeline but with the individual posts, I had to tap on them an swipe to read them one by one.
Nicholas Frazier
2020-01-14 00:13:51 +0000 UTCI still don't know how to view the single panel ones 😂
Jena Pantano
2020-01-14 00:13:08 +0000 UTCiOS app sucks for long strips it was way easier to read with separate images

2020-01-14 00:12:29 +0000 UTCSingle long strip. The separated panels had arrows that would not disappear and got in the way of reading the comic.
2020-01-14 00:12:22 +0000 UTCOne strip please. Because I am lazy.
2020-01-14 00:12:07 +0000 UTCI can't load the long strips for some reason, so that's my only issue!
2020-01-14 00:11:30 +0000 UTCAs someone who ONLY reads your comics on Mobile, I don't have an am issue with either. The trick to reading as a continuous strip for me is don't tap the post, just continue to scroll and you can read everything just fine.
2020-01-14 00:11:09 +0000 UTCWhat ever makes it easier for you. We'll find a way.

2020-01-14 00:10:56 +0000 UTCI like it as a long strip cause it loads the whole thing immediately. Individual pages take forever to load, at least for me.
