Here are some insights into the making of my nightsister costume :)
The nightsister was a really quick and rather easy costume for me, and that was a good thing because I only had two weeks to finish it.
I started by cutting out all the fabric and fake leather parts. Then I made the leg wraps, those are just fabric strips with cleaned up edges. Next up is the belt where I started with the decorative stitching and I liked it so much, that i also added it to the flappy skirt thingy.
Oh, I also made a bodysuit out of an old dark red t-shirt I had lying around. I also made the bands for the upper arms out ot that fabric.
I actually had to remake the forearm wraps because I didn't like how they turned out the first time. The second time I made them in the wrapped look, like the leg wraps. On the next picture you can see the weathered look of the armwraps.
Next little detail is the shoulder spikes. Did you notice them before?
I also sewed covers for the shoes, so that the gymnastic flats aren't visible.
When I tried everything on in the next picture I felt like the hip part was too "nude" looking and made the little hip flaps and I think they really made a difference! In the next two pictures the costume is nearly done, I had around one day left at that time. And so I decided I needed some witchy flowy shoulder parts. I quickly made a vest out of EVA Foam, added the flowy spikes and painted everything with Acrylic paint.
Most of the costume is closed with thin velcro btw. :D
The wig was a very cool thing, I had a lot of fun with that! I first wanted to go for an asymmetrical look but in the end I went for the one big braid and two tiny ones instead and topped it of with a red ribbon.
And that's it, my first OC look was done!
