WIP: Jinx pants and belt

Jinx is nearly finsihed now! Only zapper and fishbones are not complete yet!

This is my process of making the beld and pants.

I started on the pants by using a pair of low-rise jeans I had lying around for years (I am more into high-rise pants in my day to day life), it's the pair of jeans I am wearing in picture 4, made it a bit more low rise and got rid of the second button on the waist. I dyed it purple/pink and left it to dry. Then I cut it to the right length and out of the leftover and some linnen I had dyed beige/green I made the flap thingies for the hips and attached them to the pants. I also made that (maybe leather?) other hip piece out of EVA foam covereth in fake leather and painted that one green/grey later. With blue fabric paint mixed with a bit acrylic paint I painted on the darker violet stripes and darkened the pink parts a bit. Last thing for the pants was painting on all those golden stripes, that took me almost two complete days... , cutting the pants on the bottom correctly and weathering everything a bit to make it look worn.

I made the belt pieces out of fake leather, filled with EVA foam to make it more sturdy, the little spikes and accessoires are made out of worbla.

In the first pic you can see the almost finished look! It's getting really close and I am hyped!

I actually learn more with every new piece I make. I also learned that the most important part for me is making a costume. I know that is different for everyone but I gain so much calmness and relaxation out of making things :) And of course the best feeling is seeing everything slowly come together.

Thank you so much :) That's what I love too, giving things a new life. I also swear that is why my apparment is full of stuff :D I always think, I might use it later on. Even though I like minimal living and design, I am far from it :D

I’m so excited for this cosplay to be done! It looks so great and you put every detail in each piece. It amazes me how much you know how to do when it comes to building and creating these different parts for your cosplays. It’s truly inspirational seeing it all and I’m just in awe at how great everything comes out to be! Looking forward to seeing the final results!!😄🔥💜✨
