The wig was the first thing I made for Jinx. I thought it would be the hardest part that's why I started with it.
I used two wigs, one dark turquoise I already had at home, the other one much lighter and also three balls of wool to thicken the braids.
First, I combined the two wigs and made the parting in the back prettier. I glued a fake hairline at the forehead and then made six long woolen braids and added them to the wig. I put the hair around the woolen braids to hide them. The accessoires were made out of toilet paper rolls, EVA foam and acrylic paint. After spending a whole evening and another morning on styling the bangs, I braided the two long braids (so much braiding, is there another word for braid?) and added the accessoires. Lastly and after trying it on I sewed in a few hairclips on the inside because the wig is so heavy it wouldn't stay on my head properly without them.
The whole thing took quite some time, I am not the fastest when it comes to wig work. Total working hours were maybe around 30-40. But it turned out quite okay and I like it.
