Story time:

From the very first time they met, they despised each other. He was rude, gross and just unpleasant to be around. Irony struck, however, when she would find herself in a lot of situations where she'd have to meet him. They went to college together, got hired at the same place, had the same friend cycles.

They tried to be cordial, at first. But soon it turned into picking on each other, teasing, and occasionally, a heated discussion. Were they rivals? Enemies? Something like that.
