Interview With Tiamat Part 2
Added 2025-05-31 20:05:35 +0000 UTCAethor01 asks: My dear Lady Tiamat, do you still bear your Primordial Aspect or did it return to the World???
Tiamat says: I do and I do not. Primordials are both Precept and Flesh. Eternal and Finite. It is paradox. When the Illusion of Dreams lifted my essence and formed me anew, my primordial flesh melted back into the World Laws from whence it came. As such, I am neither fully Primordial nor fully Dragon. I am a word in-between. I anticipate your mind, you would ask, why would the True Dragon undo the bindings of my jail? Alas, you seek motive where there is none. A rhyme without a reason. Of is the nature of Dreams, that they follow no sense.

Veteran Ahsoei asks: I think this may have been addressed before, but just in case I want to ask this again; what truly distinguishes dragons - between the normal/low/high-class, dragon king class, and Heavenly Dragon class, aside from what they're capable of?
Tiamat says: First you must understand then, from whence came dragon-kind? To answer, we simply are. A fundamental and absolute truth of existence, dragons simply are. You think it a simple coincidence that the Void of Nothingness counts amongst our Royalty? We were birthed before time ran, and we will remain once it has been decreed to end.
Every law, every precept, every fabric of reality resonates. With A Word. With A Song. And this resonating brings forth an energy from which a Dragon may be born. Not always, but not rare either. Dragons that are birthed directly from these resonations are more powerful than those born of flesh and blood. Over generations and the further removed they bocome from their progenitor, some of our descendants are born little more than beasts, bereft of wisdom and intelligence. We refer to them as Drakes. As for classifications and rankings, these were done by others. Wyrms care little for hierarchy, only for power.
Ichigo says: Let chime in for a sec: Lesser Drakes are beasts, little more than over grown lizards. A Greater Drake is just something more powerful, maybe capable of primitive magic, but still rock dumb. Low-class Dragons are as intelligent as you or I, but aside from their physical strength and their breath, they don't have much else going for them. High-class Dragons possess immense physical strength and magical abilities, often times tied to the resonation Tiamat was talking about. Don't fuck with them. Any Dragon can declare itself a King, but by doing so it invites challenge from others. Either they survive and prove themselves a Dragon King, or they just die.
Tiamat says: Thank you, beloved. As for Albion and Ddraig, I know not. Their origins are shrouded in mystery. Ah, but I see your thoughts. You wish to ask of the Dragon Gate? A creation of the Illusion of Dreams. Some cosmic jest or random whim, who can say?

Boondoggle asks: Lady Tiamat, besides Lord Wrath and Abzu, were there any other lovers that you held a high fondness for? Azazel sends his kind regards to both Lord Wrath and yourself, by the way.
Tiamat says: Does he now? I shall have to have words with the Twelve-Winged Tinkerer some time soon. I imagine he is rather cross with me for Kokabiel's demise.
As for your inquiry, I will never understand you mortals and your obsessions with knowing another's past loves. Is it really so entertaining to ponder upon? No matter. Yes, over the millennia I have shared a bed with many others. Of prominence would be, well, I called him Dal-Azag. Mortals remember him as names such as Quetzalcoatl or K’uk’ulkan. We were only together for a century. What is the term you mortals use: a fling? But we had our share of fun.
There also was a time where I was intimate with the Titaness Rhea after her wretch of a husband was cast down by her children. While I am greatly fond of our shared time together, towards the end she grew...too attached, I would say. Dragons need freedom, she wished to keep me grounded and in one place.
Ah, and then there was dearest Sutekh, whom I spent a wonderful four centuries with. Alas, despite being the one to throw their relationship away, Nephthys grew immensely resentful of her husband's newfound happiness and petitioned Ra to have me leave their demesne.
There are others...but I sense a growing jealousy...

Mr E asks: Lady Tiamat, as one of the primordials, you must be familiar with other primordials. Are any of them still active to this day? We are made aware of Izanami's 'existence' and her influence on the souls of Japan. Are there any others who exert influence to such extents to this day?
Tiamat says: Many of my kin are now slumbering. It is difficult to explain in your mortal tongues, but a Primordial does not feel the constant need to 'do' as others are want to. More often than not, we are simply content with merely existing. A year, a thousand, it makes little difference to us. And we are always exerting an influence. Mankind would not exist otherwise. You may not be so aware of the sky, but it is very much aware of you.

Ice Bear asks: Lady tiamat, just how important is strawberry chan to the underworld, because of the first flame.
Tiamat says: Beloved, I do not understand. What relation is there of strawberries and the Underworld?
Ichigo says ...it's a piss poor pun on my name.
Tiamat says: Ah, how adorable. To the Underworld itself, there is little importance. To the Devils? The import is quite great. The First Flame is what transformed Lucifer the Fallen into Lucifer the Demon. Every Demon and Devil is inexorably bound to the Inferno, it is the ultimate end of their species. That my beloved was chosen, for unknown reasons, is a mark that he is beyond even Fell Lucifer when it comes to the origin of their kind. Why else do you think Sirzechs and Ajuka have gone to such uncouth lengths to bind him to their Empire?
Ah, but this one has piqued my interest. Beloved, take note, find me an Ice Bear. Not this one, but one fresh from the wilds. I wish to sample its flesh with strawberries on the side.
Ichigo says: ...seriously, do you even have tastebuds?
---
Kivania asks: Lady Tiamat, What were your thought when you first laid eyes on Ichigo in the familiar forest?
Tiamat says: And I saw thee, the Fell Flame burning in the Abyss. And thy tinder was of fear, doubt and loneliness. And most fearsome of all, I saw the cruel tinder of hope. My hope. In thee. I saw shadows of your Destiny, and flickering within the possibility of mine own happiness. Of Love that is Love that is Love that is Love that is Love. You, so monstrous and young. I did not bind myself to thee in whim. I did not meld our minds with a wyrm's trickery. I did so with a tumultuous heart daring to find what I had lost eons ago. And what joy it brings me to say I found that and more. Does thou not see? Mine eyes searching for thee? My lips yearning for thee? My heart beating for thee?
Always and forever more, this Tiamat is yours.
Ichigo says: Love you too, beautiful.

Mand'alor asks Most revered and ancient Lady Tiamat, eldest of wyrms and sovereign of primeval wisdom,
Thou who art attuned to the very Weave from whence all existence springs—surely thou hast perceived the might of that venerable soul, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, whose fire is as the wrath of creation unbound. I would entreat thee: in thy peerless judgment, how doth the power of that flame-wreathed elder compare to the dread majesty of the Lord of Pride, Sirzechs, who beareth the name Lucifer?
Does the fire of Yamamoto rival the infernal light of Sirzechs’ ruinous might—or is one sovereign above the other in the hierarchy of destruction?
Thy word shall be as law, O dragon-matriarch.
Tiamat says: ...who?
Ichigo says: Do you remember Old Man Yama from my memories?
Tiamat says: Ah. I will confess, I pay little attention to matters of the dead. Least of all that particular Chthonic realm. That Pantheon's Sun and the one they call the Soul King have taken great pains to obstruct the Sight of any from peering too deeply into their realms of the dead. Alas, I shall have to rely on my beloved's memories.
Sirzechs' Destruction is an absolute one. It unconditionally removes reality; from Is to Is Not. Rather petulantly, he once Destroyed a moment of the past to spare himself from a specific embarrassment that no one now remembers. Even without that dread power, he is a fearsome sorcerer. He can bend any element to his will, he can rip the flow of Time and warp the weft of Space. And yet... young Sirzechs has an unfortunately weak chin.
Ichigo says: Yeah, I can definitely see Old Man Yama uppercutting that asshat into a coma. Sirzechs dicks around too much in battle. Arrogant ass that he is.
---
Ashaman asks: Lady Tiamat, are there any plans for children soon?
Zeridoz asks: Lady tiamat do you plan on having any children with lord of wrath ichigo?
Tiamat says: Yes.
---
Ichigo says: Okay! No more questions! What is with you people and your obsession with me having kids? It was the same thing last time! I need to have a serious talk with Sera about vetting these questions!
Anyways, thank you all for your time and interest in my Dragon King. Sorry we couldn't get to everyone's questions but it's close to dinner time and none of you want to be around a hungry Dragon. Speaking of hungry, please avoid my Reavers. Some of the last batch of journalists tried to sneak an interview with some of them and...well, let's just that few things smell worse than a Reaver with indigestion.
