Dr. Mason may have his regrets; which I doubt are genuine and more of a pragmatic nature; namely if the Second Dawn were to fall...and Goddess Dibella willing, fall it most certainly shall...all his "research findings" would be deemed illegal and immoral and banned worldwide, no doubt to the needless suffering of willing transgender patients. Dr. Delilah Crowe (my character) would most certainly have some very sharp words with him before bringing out her even sharper scalpels, especially since he castrated three "someones" very near and dear to her heart. At Xu's and Davis's orders, obviously, but still a monstrous violation of his scared art in Dr. Crowe's eyes. As I was taught in school when studying Dante...Alighieri, not Morosino...the worst torments of Hell is eternally lamenting your pitiless mischief, especially treason, the worst sin of them all. He betrayed his oath, his noble profession/art, and his patients as did Dr. Hatcher.
