Aw. Helen, he looks so sweet, all curled up and napping like a little angel. Hard to believe this is the same lad who gave you so much heartache over the last two years.

Why, thank you! I gave him a sedative before you came over. Mark gets awfully embarrassed when guests see what he has become.

I imagine! He used to be such a strapping young man.

Bringing him under control was exhausting. I mean, I knew he was cheating on me before we got engaged, but when I discovered his infidelity, he tearfully promised to bring his impulses under control. I was a fool to believe him, I suppose.

Aw, don’t be too hard on yourself, Helen. You weren’t a fool. You simply believed in him. How did you manage it, anyway?

A doctor friend gave me the female hormones. I’d hoped they’d be temporary. Just a chance to mellow him out and reduce his sex drive a little. You know, give him a chance to become a better man. He cheated on me again with his little office assistant. I was outraged.

Naturally! What happened next?

I spiked his bourbon with a powerful sedative. That’s when my doctor friend came over and performed his castration. You should’ve seen his face when he woke up and realized he wasn’t a man anymore! That was the turning point. I tripled his estrogen dose and he grew breasts and he developed a beautiful hourglass. The first time someone called him “miss” in public was an absolute delight!

Oh, I wish I could’ve seen that! Mark has always been a charming man, but so full of himself. I must ask, though. What is with the mirror?

Well, as you said, he has always been full of himself. That hasn’t changed. He says he hates his new appearance, but he’s also obsessed with it. Once a narcissist, always a narcissist, I suppose!
